Shayna Nicole Bartow is from Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. She graduated in December with a degree in justice and society and a minor in Spanish and Hispanic studies. In February, Shayna began working with the Nebraska Democratic Party as their director of outreach and party affairs. She works on the party’s statewide voter registration efforts and planning for the Democratic National Convention in July.

Marc Cubrich was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He will graduate with a degree in psychology and minors in studio art and social entrepreneurship. This fall, he plans to pursue a PhD in industrial/organizational psychology at the University of Akron.

Angela Eastlund is from Buffalo, Minnesota. She will graduate with a degree in medical anthropology and minors in public health and Spanish. Upon graduating, she will be working with the Omaha YMCA. Passionate about promoting healthy and active lifestyles, she plans to pursue graduate studies and a career in public health.

Caity Ewers is from Spokane, Washington. She will graduate with degrees in art history and Latin and a minor in classical and near eastern civilizations. In the fall, she will begin the Master of Science in historic preservation program at the University of Oregon School of Architecture and Allied Arts.

Henry Hoffman is from Kansas City, Kansas. He will graduate with a degree in history. Next year, he will be attending UMKC’s School of Dentistry and hopes one day to practice general dentistry, orthodontics or oral surgery.

Molly Krause is from Omaha, Nebraska. She will graduate with a degree in exercise science and pre-health professions and a minor in public health. She will continue her education at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Combining exercise science, public health and nutrition, she is working toward a career as a registered dietitian.

Molly Anne Krebs is from Chicago, Illinois. She will graduate with a triple degree in medical anthropology, sociology, and health administration and policy with a minor in communication studies. This fall, she will begin the JD/Master in Public Administration program at Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law. She hopes to combine her passion for social research with her studies in public policy.

Isabelle Laposha will receive a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a second major in exercise science. This fall, she will be returning to her hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, to attend Washington University and begin the Doctorate of Occupational Therapy program. She hopes to work with children with developmental disabilities and eventually enter the world of academia.

Hannah Mullally is from Seward, Nebraska. She will graduate with a degree in environmental science and a minor in sustainable energy. Beginning this fall, she will start a master’s program in fisheries, wildlife and forestry at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Eventually, she wants to be a research scientist in the area of conservation biology.

Daniel Poston is from Sioux City, Iowa. He will graduate with a degree in biochemistry and a minor in biology. After graduation, Daniel will attend the Weill Cornell/Rockefeller/Sloan-Kettering Tri-Institutional MD/PhD program in New York City, with hopes of eventually becoming a physician-scientist at an academic medical center.

Ryan Smith is from Kansas City, Missouri. He will graduate with a degree in exercise science and pre-health professions. He plans to apply to physician assistant schools in Kansas City, Omaha, and Arizona this summer. Eventually, he hopes to pursue a career as an emergency room physician assistant.

Senior Award Nominees

Samantha Stanley is from Albert Lea, Minnesota. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and secondary education. In the fall, she will be attending Loyola University in Chicago for her master’s in mathematics. In the future, Samantha dreams of teaching either at the high school or collegiate level for a few years and then returning to graduate school for her PhD.

Manaswita Tappata will graduate with a degree in biology, and has been part of the Honors Program at Creighton University. She plans to attend Penn State College of Medicine in the fall and eventually hopes to become a physician working with underserved communities.

Prem Vichienwanitchkul is from Bangkok, Thailand. He will graduate with a degree in biology with minors in environmental sciences and economics. He plans to go to Creighton University Medical School this fall semester.

Brandon Warrington is from Colorado Springs, Colorado. He will be graduating this spring with a degree in philosophy, specializing in ethics, and minors in political science and history. After graduation he will be moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan, to pursue his JD at the University of Michigan Law School.
