• Duel parallel bored tunnels • “Cut and Cover” tunnel

• Two parallel one mile long tunnels • Each tunnel is one mile in long • 13 months to bore both tunnels • Tunnels will connect three underground stations • TBM is 21.5’ in diameter and approximately 400’ long • Scheduled start date April 18th, 2016

Program Overview • Financial assistance to small “mom and
pop” businesses directly impacted by Metro construction
• Relevant Metro construction projects: Crenshaw/LAX, Regional Connector and Purple Line Extension, Phase I
• Maximum grant of $50,000 per rolling year
Program Requirements (partial list) • For-profit business or non-religious, non-profit
with 25 or fewer total employees • Businesses located immediately adjacent to
rail corridor and directly impacted by construction
• Businesses must be solvent • Businesses must be in good standing with all
local, state and federal authorities • Ability to provide relevant financial records • Meet other technical qualifications 28

• Provides hands-on case management services and business assistance to small businesses between 48th St and 60th St
• Small businesses not in the immediate area have access for business and technical assistance
• BSC Services • Expert business advice and technical assistance • Hands-on Case Management • Business outreach, partner outreach and referral services (e.g. referrals to
BSC Business Partners, financial services providers, business resource providers)
• Partnership with Del Richardson & Associates, Inc. (DRA) and collaborative with Vermont Slauson Economic Development Corporation, Los Angeles Urban League, Urban Design Center and Turning Point Communication
