• 2009 - Tension between recreational and professional game; 2013 – much better

• 2009 - Governance structure unhelpful with no sub-structure; 2013 – ‘Connected’ Board and sub-structure. Better communication.

• 2009 - Board not owning the cricket vision; 2013 – Mission and Outcomes developed by Board and staff

• 2009 - limited listening to ‘cricket people’; 2013 – research and insight being developed

HISTORY – LOTS OF IT!

• 1888 – Glamorgan CCC formed

• 1968 – Welsh Cricket Association (WCA) formed

• 1997 – England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) formed following merger of the TCCB and the NCA

• 1997 – Cricket Board of Wales (CBW) formed : a partnership between Glamorgan and the WCA. Staff employed by the CBW.

STEPS ON THE WAY

• 2009/10 - Open Roadshows

• 2011/2012 - Dissolution of CBW and WCA to form new Cricket Wales

• 2012 - Development of Mission and Outcomes (Board and staff)

• 2013 – Developing enhanced research and insight amongst ‘cricket people’

• 2013 – better partnership with Glamorgan
