Dance Fusion students explore a variety of dance styles including modern and jazz with music from classic to Broadway show tunes. Students learn the skills to create their own work and have the opportunity to share their original choreography with the class. Max Students: 15

Designed to be a dancer’s first class, this class will focus on arm placement, pointing of toes, stretching, turnout, poise and classroom etiquette. At the end of the session, students will be able to execute the two dance positions, have a solid basic concept of the way their bodies move and be excited for their next dance class! Beginning/Intermediate Ballet (Ages 6-8)Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30 pm or Saturdays, 11:00 am -12:00 pm

This class level introduces the young dancer to the true outline of a ballet class. Structured ballet barre with center combinations and French terminology will shape the students for future classes. This level is the perfect transition from a beginning class and a necessary step to the intermediate level. Max Students: 14

Intermediate Ballet (Ages 8-11) Tuesdays, 4:00-5:15 pm or Thursdays, 4:00-5:15 pm

A class at this level is for serious ballet students with a solid, well-trained foundation. Dancers spend half their time at the barre learning, memorizing and executing full combinations, while absorbing and understanding proper techniques. Designed for serious ballet students with a solid ballet foundation. This class moves quickly. Dancers in this level are expected to push themselves to excel in the classroom and on their own time. Complicated concepts are taught and mastered: multiple turns, grand allegro, adagio, extension, body placement, partner work, pointe work and concentration on the feet. Each dancer is hand selected by Ms. Heather to participate in the Pre-Professional level based on talent, potential, maturity and dedication. (A minimum of four classes required to participate at this level)

Pre-Professional Variations Class (By Audition - Age 10+)Monday, Friday 2:00-3:30 pm

CTAC Dorothy Gerber Strings – Beginning & IntermediateStudents will learn the basics, from music terminology to playing their first songs. These tuition-free classes are offered in the Char-Em School District for students grades 3 and above. First year players and players with no prior experience are welcome. If a course is cancelled by CTAC for lack of enrollment, CTAC will offer a full refund to the student in the manner in which tuition was paid. (Cash payments will be refunded by check.)Requests for cancellation by the student up to seven (7) days prior to the first day of class will be honored (minus a $20 processing fee). CTAC will do its best to provide a make-up opportunity for the missed class. Refunds will not be given if the student is unable to attend the rescheduled session of class. Workshops and one-time classes, such as the Culinary Series, will be handled on a per class basis. School of Ballet students are asked to make-up the missed class in an alternate class session approved by their instructor.

A fabulous finished mural from individual student artwork will be the outcome from this class. The students decide on the look of their finished project and will learn how each individual piece of artwork will add to the whole to create the completed mural.
