Over $400.00 was given on Ash Wednesday and will be used to help the less fortunate in our community. There are almost 200 families benefitting each month from the kindness that the food pantry offers.
IT'S TIME TO RENEW IN THE KROGER REWARDS PROGRAM Even if you were previously signed-up you must re-enroll in the program each year, beginning in April. Your re-enrollment will help ensure our organization will receive the greatest rewards possible. When you use your Kroger Plus Card, 5% of all purchases made will be credited to the Church of the Ascension as long as you have registered your Kroger Plus Card online at www.krogercommunityrewards.com. If you have never registered your card, it will be necessary to input our organization code #81030. Thanks for your continued support. IMAGINE IF EVEN HALF OF OUR PARISH FAMILY HAD 5% OF THEIR GROCERY PURCHASES BEING CREDITED TO ASCENSION!
Catholic Charities USA is responding to flooding in Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri. The current flooding is expected to persist across several states. Additionally, snowmelt and spring

Catholic Relief Services is responding to widespread destruction in Mozambique, Malawi, and Zimbabwe caused by tropical cyclone Idai, which has caused massive
damage, killed upwards of 200 people, while affecting negatively about 600,000 others. For more information, visit: www.crs.org/media-center/news-release/catholic-relief-services-crs-mounts-regional-response-devastating-cyclone or contact Social Concerns at [email protected].

LENTEN PROGRAM – LONGING FOR THE HOLYThis Lent, come eat and listen to presentations designed to deepen your spirituality and make you more aware of Christ in our daily lives. Mass will begin at 6:00 p.m. during Lent, followed by a Soup Supper at 6:30 p.m. and then a program from 7:00-8:15 p.m. A program presented by Fr. Ghiloni entitled, "Longing for the Holy – Spirituality for Everyday Life" will take place. This (program) is based on insights of Fr. Ronald Rolheiser, O.M.I. in his book entitled, "The Holy Longing." There are actually 12 sessions in this program so it will extend into the Easter Season, as well. *If/when it is your turn to provide the meal, please bring soup and bread/crackers. The Adult Faith Formation Committee will provide coffee, water, etc. On Wednesday, April 10, the meal will be provided by parishioners.
PLEASE NOTE – There will be no soup supper on the Wednesday of Holy Week (April 17th). Fr. Ghiloni will have Mass at 6:00 p.m. that evening, but there will be no program on "Longing for the Holy" that week. The classes will resume the following Wednesday, April 24th.
