Carlos: Hello! Im Carlos Martinez, Im a new student!

Paty: hi! My names Patricia Cruz, but please call me Paty!!

Carlos: Nice to meet you Paty! Are you from San Salvador?

Paty: Not actually, Im from San Pablo Tacachico, La Libertad.

Carlos: Oh! Tacachico is a very calm place!

Paty: I know, how about you? Where are you from?

Carlos: Well, Im from San Francisco Menendez, Ahuachapn!

Paty: Oh! Thats a beautiful place, I have family there!

Carlos: Great, so if you go we can meet there!

Paty: Sure!

Carlos: Awesome! Nice to meeting you Paty! I hope I will see you soon!

Paty: Me too, Take care and bye!

The way we have conversations with others, should be clear, so others will understand what we are trying to say or to

share.

Carlos: Hi Paty, hows it going?

Paty: Im pretty good, how about you?

Carlos: Im fine, I was wondering if you like to have dinner with me tonight.

Paty: Sure! Id love to, but what will we have for dinner?

Carlos: hmm well, lets see, whats your favorite food?

Paty: I love pizza, what about you?

Carlos: Me too lets have pizza then.

Paty: ok lets meet in pizza hut at 7 oclock pm.

Carlos: awesome, Ill be there waiting for you! Dont miss it!

Paty: Ill be there! See you!

CONVERSATION 3: LET ME INTRODUCE YOU MY BEST FRIEND ANNY.

Carlos: hello! How are you Paty?

Paty: Im excellent, what about you?

Carlos: Im bored, I have nothing to do!

Paty: Lets go to the pool!

Carlos: sounds perfect, oh see my best friend is coming, let me introduce her to you!

Paty: ok.

Carlos: Hey Anny this is Paty!

Anny: hi Paty! Nice to meet you!

Paty: Nice to meet you too Anny! See we were planning to go to the pool; would you like to come with us?

Anny: Of course lets go!

PERSONAL PRONOUNS VERB BE REFLEXIVE PRONOUNS

They are themselves

We use reflexive pronouns to indicate that the action performed by the doer refers back to

him. The subject and the object are the same person.

There are several ways to greet with other people, but all depends of culture, countries and of the way we learned since we were just kids.

Indian people usually greet with a bow, especially when a lady is greeting a man, Chinese people greet with a bow too. Some people in different countries greet by kissing cheek, or lips and sometimes bye kissing the nose.

Here in El Salvador, we usually do all of them, when a boy is meeting a boy usually have handshake and to say goodbye

they just have a pat on their back, when is a girl meeting a boy or girl, often get kissed in the cheek, o may be a hug.

Im sitting here in a boring room is just another rainy Sunday afertnoon Im wasting my

time, I got nothing to do Im hanging around, Im waiting for you. But nothing ever

happens - and I wonder.

Im driving around in my car Im driving to fast, Im driving to far, Id like to change my point

of view I feel so lonely, Im waiting for you. But nothing ever happens and I wonder .

I wonder how, I wonder why, yesterday you told me about the blue blue sky and all that I

can see is just a yellow lemon tree, Im turning my head up and down Im turning, turning,

turning ,turning ,turning around And all that I can see is just another lemon tree.

Im sitting here, I miss the power id like to go out taking a shower but theres a heavy cloud

inside my head, I feel so tired, put myself into bed where nothing ever happens- and I

wonder.

Isolation is not good for me Isolation I dont want to sit on a lemon tree. Im stepping

around in a dessert of joy baby anyhow Ill get another toy And everything will happen- and

youll wonder.
