This starter kit contains the material to make templates for crystal designs which have been designed by BERNINA DesignWorks.

To create these design templates you need a BERNINA sewing machine with embroidery func-tion plus the BERNINA CrystalWork Tool.

Your individually created crystal designs can be fixed on almost all heat-resistant textile fabrics or accessories.

To ensure your safety › Please read the instruction manual of the sewing machine, of the CrystalWork Tool and this

accessory carefully before use!

Preparing the embroidery hoop › Position the carrier paper on the inner

hoop (1). › Make sure that the coated side of the paper

points upwards. › Move the opened outer hoop over the paper

and push downwards. › Hoop the carrier paper very tautly (2). › Cut back excess paper. › Mark the center of the hoop. › Cut the template material to size according

to the size of the design (3). › Position the template material in the center

of the hoop (4).

WARNING

Crystals can be swallowed by child-ren! › Do not let children play with the

material unattended.

Tip!Using the DesignWorks software suite you can print the

design in its original size. Use the print as a pattern.

Use Reynolds Freezer Paper or customary baking or greaseproof

paper, as wide as possible from a roll.

Punching the template › Punch the CrystalWork template using your

sewing machine (5). › Remove the template from the carrier

paper (6). › Stick the finished template on a piece of

cardboard (7).

Filling in the crystals › Brush the crystals in circular motions into

all the punch holes (8). › Make sure that the shiny side of the crystals

points upwards (9).

Preparing the iron-on foil › Cut the iron-on foil to size according to the

size of the template. › Position the iron-on foil over the crystals

and press down firmly (10). › Remove the iron-on foil with the Crystal-

Work Design carefully. Make sure that all the crystals remain sticking to the foil (11).

Ironing on crystals › Adjust the heat of the iron according to the

fabric. › Position the design as desired. › Make sure that the iron is dry. › Press on for about 20 sec (12). The duration

of the ironing time depends on the tempe-rature of the iron.

› Check whether all the crystals have been fixed.

› Remove the iron-on foil slowly (13).

Tip!Wash and dry clothes with crystals inside out.

Stickrahmen vorbereiten › Trägerpapier auf den inneren Stickrahmen

schieben und nach unten pressen. › Trägerpapier sehr straff in den Stickrahmen

einspannen (2). › Überstehendes Papier zurückschneiden. › Stickrahmen-Mitte markieren. › Schablonenmaterial entsprechend der Muster-

grösse zuschneiden (3). › Schablonenmaterial mittig auf dem

bespannten Stickrahmen platzieren (4).

Tipp! Mit der DesignWorks Software Suite einen Ausdruck des

Musters in Originalgrösse erstellen und als Schnittvorla-

ge verwenden.

Dieses StarterKit enthält das Material, um Schablonen für Strassstein-Muster anzufertigen, die mit der BERNINA DesignWorks Software Suite entworfen wurden.

Zur Herstellung dieser Musterschablonen benötigen Sie eine BERNINA Stickmaschine und das BERNINA CrystalWork Tool.

Ihre individuell angefertigten Strassstein-Kreationen können anschliessend auf fast allen wär-mebeständigen Textilien oder Accessoires fixiert werden.

Schablone stanzen › Strassstein-Schablone mit der Stickmaschi-

ne stanzen (5). › Schablone vom Trägerpapier lösen (6). › Fertige Schablone auf Karton kleben (7).

Strasssteine einfüllen › Mit kreisförmigen Bewegungen Strassstei-

ne in alle Stanzlöcher bürsten (8). › Sicherstellen, dass alle Strasssteine mit der

glänzenden Seite nach oben liegen (9).

Bügelfolie vorbereiten › Bügelfolie entsprechend der Schablonen-

grösse zuschneiden. › Bügelfolie über die Strasssteine legen und

gut andrücken (10). › Bügelfolie mit Strassstein-Muster vorsichtig

abziehen. Hierbei darauf achten, dass alle Steine an der Folie haften bleiben (11).

Strasssteine aufbügeln › Die Bügeltemperatur dem Stoff entspre-

chend einstellen. › Bügelfolie mit Strassstein-Muster auf

gewünschter Oberfläche platzieren. › Mit einem trockenen Bügeleisen etwa

20 Sekunden festdrücken (12). Die Anpress-zeit variiert je nach Bügeltemperatur.

› Kontrollieren, ob alle Strasssteine fixiert wurden.

› Bügelfolie langsam abziehen (13).

Tipp!Kleidungstücke mit Strasssteinen vor dem Waschen und

Trocknen auf Links wenden.
