Methodology & ApproachCity Security Inc will provide you with certified, licensed, insured, and bonded Armed & Unarmed Security Guards. Each Security Professional has been screened to the standards of the Tennessee Department of Private Detective and Security State Licensing Division. City Security’s plan to use site supervisors to fill-in for guards while on break and for unforeseen emergencies. For, instance if a guard calls off or if we are short on guards; it will be the supervisor’s responsibility to cover that post. City Security & Safety will also provide UHF radios for communication on post. City Security has a 24 hour dispatch for immediate attention in case of emergency.

Our pre-employment background investigation far exceeds that of most security service companies. In addition, City Security Inc requires our personnel all submit to a battery of aptitude tests, a 5-panel drug screening, and extensive in-service training regarding criminal law, defensive tactics and emergency evacuations.

At City Security Inc, all of our security guards will be equipped with two-way radios or equivalent to ensure constant communication with our management team.

Each and every security guard will be trained regularly regarding your specific site to further enhance the protection we provide.

We have taken a unique approach to the business of contract security. Many of our competitors employ minimally screened and trained guards. Our approach involves a proactive theory of well-groomed, exceptionally trained, uniformed security guards. Our strategy entails several steps to mitigate the possibility and opportunity for theft of property, or injury to persons within the facility. The following is an overview of our Security Guard Project:

Applicant ScreeningThe quality we bring to your environment begins long before you see our security guards. The Board of Directors at City Security & Safety Inc has resolved to make the recruitment and training of our personnel the key to our success; in that, we conduct hiring initiatives on a regular basis. All applicants must meet our qualifications, prior to becoming an employee of City Security Inc.

MethodologyCity Security Inc’s uniformed security guards are trained to act as a criminal deterrent by adopting the principals of the C.P.O.P (Community Police Officer Program) methodology. Simply put, our guards are encouraged to be an approachable source of information to patrons, residents and employees. Letting the public know that we are there for them generates a feeling of community and safety.

Continued…PatrolCity Security Inc’s placement of our security guards is what generally places City Security Inc in the position to confidently describe the implementation of our security guard project as authentic. Our security guards are trained to make visible foot patrols throughout their posts in undetermined patterns. We encourage our personnel to interact with your patrons and employees in addition to standing at a fixed post.

ComplianceCity Security Inc has developed a theory of "Enforcement through Reinforcement." The management, having twenty combined years of security and law enforcement experience, has realized that prevention of crime can be accomplished by utilizing tactical approaches, rather than accusations and the traditional methods of our predecessors. The art of verbal judo is common place in our organization and has often been effective in deescalating volatile situations.

UniformsCity Security’s uniformed security guards are outfitted with law enforcement-type uniforms. Our corporate general orders, require that our personnel keep their uniforms pressed and clean at all times. Their shoes are polished; military-style and men are clean-shaven with neat haircuts. Our female officers are held to the same standard. We pride ourselves on the appearance of our personnel, as they are representing our agency in your facilities.Supervision

City Security Inc offers, free of charge, supervisory personnel to insure strict adherence to our general orders and your rules, regulations and ordinances. City Security Inc supervisory personnel are required to possess a minimum of 7 years of private security experience. Our supervisors are in charge of scheduling and assigning security post. City Security Inc supervisors are also utilized as a liaison between City Security Inc and our clients. Supervisors are on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days per year for your convenience and will regularly make spot checks to prevent the issue of complacency. It is our belief that in order to assure the best quality of service that we stand by, we must keep close relationships with our personnel both on and off duty.

24 Hour Customer ServiceCity Security Inc’s offices are staffed around the clock with customer service representatives for your convenience. City Security Inc staffs fully functional offices. Our customer service representatives are not salespeople; they are security professionals assigned to light duty or administrative functions. Desk personnel are utilized as watch-commanders with full authority to make supervisory decisions for City Security Inc.

Continued…CostCity Security Inc will provide you with a forensic breakdown of our costing specifications. City Security Inc maintains a philosophy that in order to retain the highest quality security professionals in the industry, we must compensate them commensurate to their qualifications. The Board of Directors has resolved to reduce our profit margin rather than decrease a security guard’s salary. Our costing structure provides for a well-paid security professional and a conservative rate to our client.

LiabilityCity Security Inc maintains insurance that is thirty times the minimum aggregate coverage obtained by most of our competitors. Our Legal Division recommends that in order to protect our assets as well as yours, we must maintain financial security in full force and effect at a level that far exceeds industry standard.

Working TogetherHaving reviewed in detail our security introduction and understanding the scope and schedule of our services, City Security Inc will put together a first class team of security professionals who we think are particularly suited to your business. We will select prospective supervisory personnel on their ability and suitability for the type of project, and of course their availability to start right away if we are fortunate enough to be appointed.

City Security Inc will partner with you in every stage of this project and act as both consultants and colleagues to work in a manner commensurate with both of our agency’s relative skills & bringing greatly enhanced value to the project.

Training Methodology:City Security Inc conducts training that exceeds that of any of our competitor’s programs. The knowledge of our management team is passed on to our new employees.

In addition to the state mandated certification courses, City Security Inc provides mandatory yearly Training for all security agents. The training is broken down into three parts.

1. 24-Hour Basic Tactics training: The training provides the security agents with tactical awareness in an emergency situation.

2. 24-Hour Patrol Techniques & Criminal Law training: The training enhances the abilities of the security agent to patrol and identify potential criminal activity on the site.

3. 16-Hour Customer Services Seminar: The training gives an interactive learning experience to new and veteran security agents with communication skills.

Risk AssessmentHow We Integrate Our Security Program

One of the reasons companies are reluctant to switch long-time contractors or vendors are due to the difficulty in making the actual transition. To ensure the transition process to your new security service program goes as smoothly and efficiently as possible, City Security & Safety, Inc operates by a comprehensive transition plan. Although we are continually updating and revising our transition plan to accommodate evolving and changing business practices, fundamentally, the plan features key components that never change: A transition team, strategic integration processes with a timetable, and systematic procedures for selecting and screening personnel.

The Transition TeamUpon contract award, a transition team is mobilized to begin the process of integrating CSSI’s security service into your operation. We assess all components of your facility, preferred procedures and desired outcomes. We then take that data and build a profile of the type(s) of officers that will be needed to protect your property. The transition team is comprised of local and regional employees. CSSI is responsible for their expenses throughout this process. When necessary, we also assign several members of our corporate management and administrative staff to support the transition from every aspect.

Officer SelectionIn situations where we are replacing another contractor, we will consider retaining incumbent personnel prior to going through the recruitment process with client approval. All officers, regardless of their prior experience, must pass our Past-Positive background screening system, attend and graduate from the City Security Training Academy, and pass our drug-screening test. Clients also have the option of giving credit for vacation accrual and shift assignments to employees retained from the previous contractor.

Strategic Integration Processesalthough it can vary, a transition typically takes place over 30 days.  All transitions operate on a timetable that has been mutually agreed upon between CSSI and the client.  The timetable is actually a plan that moves the transition process through a systematic procedure from inception to completion. All CSSI employees involved with the transition operate by this timetable that features many checks to prevent errors or missed deadlines.
