Currently,invariousbusinesssectors,itappearsthattheeconomicslowdowncouldpossiblyhaveaneffectonthecontinuedcommitmenttosocialresponsibilityactivities.However,Sahacogen,anditssubsidiaries,havesetuptheirbusinessstructuresassocialbusinessenterprises.Meaning,they have a harmonization between social responsibility,andbusinessoperations.Consequently,allaspectsoftheircorporatesocialresponsibility(CSR)activitiesarestillbeingcarriedout. Highlighting income distribution in relation to em-ployment,aswellaspartnershipwithlocalbusinesses,drivesthesocial,andeconomicsuccessofSahacogen&Affiliates.Moreover, collaboratingwith communities tomonitor andcontroltheimpactontheenvironment,inadditiontoinstillingeco-consciousness,leadstobringingaboutkeyachievementsfrommutually beneficial activities. This ensures that theCompany’sbusinessplanistostrengthenthesustainabilityof corporate social responsibility. Also, it is committed tofosteringthelonglifeofitsbusinessoperations,bybuildingupsocial,andenvironmentalawareness,coupledwithde-veloping effective anti-corruption compliance. “Sahacogen&Affiliates,operatingenergybusinessunderSahaGroup,includesSahacogen(Chonaburi)PublicCompanyLimitedanditssubsidiaries;SahacogenGreenCompanyLimited,SahagreenForestCompanyLimitedandSahagreenEnergyCompanyLimited. Since1999,thefirstcogenerationcombinedcyclepowerplantwasestablishedinSahaGroupIndustrialPark,Sriracha,Chonburiprovince.Theplanthadinstalledcapacityof122Megawattsofelectricityand40tonsofsteamperhour,usingnaturalgasasamainfuel.90MegawattsofelectricityisdistributedtoElectricityGeneratingAuthorityofThailand(EGAT)undertheSmallPowerProducers(SPP)program.ItalsosupplieselectricityandsteamtoSahaPattanaInter-HoldingPublicCompanyLimited.SahacogenregisteredasapubliccompanyonOctober4,2002andexpandedcapacityto174Megawattsofelectricityand81tonsofsteamperhoursince2004. Duetothegrowingdemandforenergyofever-increasingindustriesinSahaGroupIndustrialPark,Sriracha,theCompanydecidedtodevelopthecogenerationcombinedcirclepowerplantexpansionprojectphaseIIIwiththenetcapacityof21MWofelectricityand21tonsofsteamperhour.Theprojectisexpectedtobecompletedandstartedcommercialoperation(COD)inthebeginningofyear2018.Consequently,thetotalcogenerationcapacityoftheCompanywillbe195MWofelectricityand102tonsofsteamperhour. Regardingbusinessexpansion,Sahacogen&Affiliatesfocusonrenewableenergycoupledwithsocialbusinessenterprisedependinguponcommunity,socialandenvironmentalresponsibility. SahacogenGreenCompany Limitedwasestablished todevelop the cogenerationpowerplantwith the installed capacityof9.6Megawattsofelectricityand25tonsofsteamperhourbyutilizingbiomassasthefuel.Theplanthasstartedcommercialoperationsince2011distributingelectricitytotheProvincialElectricityAuthority(PEA)underVerySmallPowerProducers(VSPP)programandsteamtothefactorieswithinSahaGroupIndustrialPark,Lamphun.Moreover,thecompanyhadinitiatedandimplemented7,000Raisofthefast-growingtreesplantationtoestablishsustainablebiomasssourcealongwithextendedemploymentsandearningstocommunities. Thesuccessoftherenewableenergydevelopmentandfast-growingtreeplantationsmotivatedSahacogentodeveloppowerplantprojectusingeucalyptusbarkandbranchesfromthepaperpulpproductionprocessofpaperbusinessofSiamCementGroupandotheragroresidues.SahagreenForestCompanyLimitedwasestablishedfordevelopingpowerplantwithinstalledcapacityof7.5MegawattslocatedinPrankrataidistrict,Kamphaengphetprovince,TheplanthasstartedcommercialoperationsinceDecember2012distributingelectricitytothePEAVSPPprogram.

Sahacogenandaffiliatesorganized this sustainability report to indicate its intention for sustainable businessgrowthincompliancewithsocialresponsibility.ThereportisunderanapproachsuggestedbytheGlobalReportingInitiative(GRI)–G3.1,whilethecorporatesocialresponsibilityperformancewasappliedwiththe10principlesoftheUnitedNationsGlobalCompact(UNGC.)Thisreportillustratescorporateperformanceofthefiscalyear2015fromJanuary1-December31whichcoverseconomic,environmental,andsocialaspectsinconcerningwithallstakeholders.Thiscorporatesocialresponsibilityactivitiesareimplementedinthebusinessprocesses(CSR-in-process),separatingfromthebusinessprocessandnon-profitability(CSR-as-process)andseparatingfromthebusinessprocessandoccurringafterwards(CSR-after-process).

Economic Regardingtothesituationoftheglobalenergymarketsthattheoilpricehasbeenfluctuatedanddecreasedsignificantly.Thisimpactedtothesellingpriceofelectricityandsteam,themainincomeofSahacogenandaffiliatesaccountedfor99%ofthetotalconsolidatedincome,tobereducedsubsequencely.Itisbecausethestructureofelectricityandsteampriceispartialreferencetotheenergymarketprice.However,thecompanywasimplementedtheimprovementoftheproductionefficiencyaswellascontrolledtheproductioncostintensivelyandconsistentlyinordertomitigatetheeffecttotheoperationresultbythisuncontrolledrisk. Sahacogen Scholarships

Sohacogen has been provided scholarship to the under privileged Thai youths who screened and selected by
community’s education committees for 9 consecutive years. Moreover, we also support through other activities such
as painting competition, art from biomass, lunch sponsorship and Thai Children Day.
In 2015, Sahacogen & Affiliates supported scholarships for schools nearby the power plants and its business’
areas. There were 37 schools obtaining scholarships in totaling amount of 80,000 Baht.

Queen’sBirthday”.Thisprojectaimstocreateandpreservetheforestareaaccordingtotheroyalideas.Wehaveconducted
theprojectsbothinthewoodsandmangroveforests.Wehavebeencontinuingthisprojectfor4years,over35,000seedlings
havebeendistributedaccordingtotheproject.
SahacogenandAffiliatesincollaborativeactionwiththelocaladministrativeofficesi.e.TheFisheriesStation,theroyal
irrigationinKamphaengphetprovince,andlocalfarmershavehelpedtocleanWangChaocanalinWangTabaksubdistrictand

WasteBankforEnvironmentProjecthasbeensetuptomotivateandenhancetheeco-conciousawarenessamongemployees.Wastemustbecategorizedbothinofficeandplant,aswellastheemployeescanbringtheirwastefromhomefordonationorexchangebeforethecompanysellsthosewastetopurchaserforrecycling.Thisisanotherwaytosavetheworldwhichrevenuefromsellingwastewillbeusedfororganizationalactivitiesanddonation.In2015,therewere11,086kilogramsofwasteinthebank,totaling71,268Bahtasdescribedinthetable.
