Some things to know after you have received Cupping Therapy: Avoid extreme hot or cold temperatures. The cupped areas will be sensitive to temperatures so be careful when taking hot or cold showers, baths, sauna, hot tubs, etc. As with any massage session, it is important to stay hydrated after your cupping session so your lymphatic system can perform its job without any issues associated with dehydration. You may have some discoloration of your skin from your Cupping Therapy, this is not bruising. Bruises are usually the result of blunt force trauma to the body. The marks from Cupping Therapy are a result of the suction created by the cups causing the escape of blood into the tissues so that healthy free circulation can be restored to the aected area. Cupping marks are dependent on each individual, as a general rule the discoloration will last from 3 days to one week but some may last longer. Some people may experience darker, longer-lasting marks than average, this is normal and does not generally aect the benets of the therapy. You may notice that after Cupping Therapy your cup marks may be slightly tender to the touch. This is normal and any tenderness you may experience should go away as the cup marks fade. In addition to the above, your certied massage therapist may provide additional recommended after-care instructions for you. AFTER CARE Cupping Therapy ME2559

Some things to know after you have received Cupping Therapy:

• Avoid extreme hot or cold temperatures. The cupped areas will be sensitive to temperatures so be careful when taking hot or cold showers, baths, sauna, hot tubs, etc.

• As with any massage session, it is important to stay hydrated after your cupping session so your lymphatic system can perform its job without any issues associated with dehydration.

• You may have some discoloration of your skin from your Cupping Therapy, this is not bruising. Bruises are usually the result of blunt force trauma to the body. The marks from Cupping Therapy are a result of the suction created by the cups causing the escape of blood into the tissues so that healthy free circulation can be restored to the affected area.

• Cupping marks are dependent on each individual, as a general rule the discoloration will last from 3 days to one week but some may last longer. Some people may experience darker, longer-lasting marks than average, this is normal and does not generally affect the benefits of the therapy.

• You may notice that after Cupping Therapy your cup marks may be slightly tender to the touch. This is normal and any tenderness you may experience should go away as the cup marks fade.

• In addition to the above, your certified massage therapist may provide additional recommended after-care instructions for you.
