EDITORIAL ASSISTANT:The Spokesman-Review is currently looking for a full-time Editorial Assistant to work in our Newsroom. If you are a detailed-oriented person, have a thirst for news and information, then this may be the perfect position for you. The candidate will be the key person to welcome visitors to the newsroom, answer all incoming calls to the newsroom and transfer those calls to the appropriate person or department.

What you will do as an Editorial Assistant: Deliver information to reporters and editors by phone and email, along with assisting with various projects . Responsible for distributing daily papers and mail. Order office supplies. Perform occasional research for readers and staff. Call and confirm letters to the editor and type letters into database for print. Compile information to create birth, centennial and anniversary announcements. Monitor WebTeam inbox and respond to readers. Prepare TV grids, crosswords and comics for print in the newspaper. Enter into database calendar listings for home, religion, art and family calendars and prepare daily for print

edition.

Qualified applicants must have: Prior experience with Microsoft Word and we prefer knowledge of Mac programs. Janitor:Centennial Properties is currently recruiting for two FULL-TIME Janitors. In this position you will clean company work spaces including floors, furniture, equipment, walls and windows. MACHINIST/MILLWRIGHTThe Spokesman-Review is currently seeking a full-time Machinist/Millwright to troubleshoot, repair mechanical problems, manufacture and rebuild parts in the production area of our paper. This position is ideal for an individual with a strong work ethic, has the ability to setup and operate manual machine shop equipment to close tolerances (lathes, mills, ECT) and who has a working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. This position will repair, make, and install parts for all of our company’s production equipment. Days and hours are as follows: Tuesday-Thursday 5:30pm-2:00am, Friday and Saturday 6:30pm-3:00am.

What you will do as a Machinist/Millwright: Learn the functions of, troubleshoot and repair production equipment. Make and install parts for all production equipment. Be self motivated and work independently.

This position directs newsgathering and presentation for Saturday and Sunday; in addition, the position works in the role of a copy editor on other assigned days. In the role of Weekend ACE, the position has the responsibility and authority to make decisions regarding coverage priorities and placement of content in print and online.
