Adrian Munteanu is the author and co-author of more than 100 journal and conference publications, patent applications, and contributions to standards, out of which more than 25 are journal publications and contributions to books.

He received the M.Sc. degree in Electronics from Politehnica University of Bucharest, Romania, in 1994, the M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Patras, Greece, in 1996, and the Doctorate degree in Applied Sciences (awarded with the highest distinction and congratulations of the jury members) from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium, in 2003. He holds, since October 2004, a post-doctoral fellowship with the Fund for Scientific Research – Flanders (FWO), Belgium. Adrian Munteanu is the recipient of the Scientific BARCO-FWO 2004 prize for his PhD work.
