Why Curtin Singapore?Curtin Singapore courses use the same curriculum as those offered at the Perth Campus withthe added attraction o offering three trimesters a year, allowing students to complete theirdegree aster.

CURTIN SINGAPORE

Curtin Singapore is managed by CurtinEducation Centre, which is a part o theNavitas Group—a global educationalorganisation with extensive experiencein providing quality services tostudents. The campus is supportedby a Curtin-appointed Pro Vice-Chancellor who oversees the deliveryo Curtin’s approach to teaching andlearning, and ensures quality and

standards are maintained. Whetheryou study at Curtin Singapore,Sarawak, Sydney or Perth, you cangraduate with the skills to launchyour career anywhere in the world.

CREDIT FOR PRIOR STUDY

Curtin Singapore also recognisesprevious studies and work experience,enabling some students to benefitrom the relevant prior learningthey have acquired to gain creditexemptions. This may enable students

to complete their programs aster.

TRIMESTER ACADEMIC YEAR

Curtin Singapore operates ona trimester academic yearwith intakes in March, July andNovember, allowing students tocomplete their degree aster.

PART-TIME STUDY

Most courses are available in ull-timeor part-time study modes to suit localstudents or working students withpermanent residence or employment

pass status. Part-time classes arescheduled in the evening and onweekends. However, all internationalstudents on Student’s Pass mustbe enrolled in ull-time studies.

SMALL CLASS SIZES

Curtin Singapore’s small classesensure a supportive learningenvironment or all students. A betterlearning environment is encouragedby increasing interaction betweenlecturers and students, maximising

interaction between students,ensuring that personal attention isgiven to each student, and allowinglecturers to identiy and assiststudents who require extra help.

Curtin CollegeCurtin College is an integrated pathway to Curtin Singapore undergraduate programs,offering an alternative entry point or students who do not meet the University’s minimumentry requirements.

CURTIN COLLEGE

Since 2000, Curtin College hasestablished itsel as a major pathwayto Curtin University. Located on themain Curtin campus in Perth, Sydney,and Singapore, Curtin College is aregistered higher education provideroffering Curtin University units.Curtin College’s flexible approachto entry requirements makes it anopen and accessible institution,

serving the needs o a diverse rangeo students. The highly qualified,riendly and committed staff providea high level o personal support to allstudents so their period o study atthe college is not only academicallysuccessul, but also an enjoyableand memorable experience.

Students at the college are exposed toa variety o teaching methods designedto promote a stimulating learningexperience. Lecturers provide studentswith a ramework or each unit being

studied, and ensure students acquirethe relevant knowledge and skills

or the chosen course. Students areexpected to take notes summarisingkey points and ask any questionsthey may have regarding complicatedissues raised during the lecture.Lecture groups average between 20and 30 students, with some ofenmuch smaller. The policy will reimburse hospital charges and covers onlytreatments in Singapore restructured hospital and B2 ward class only. ** The Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) aims to protect students’ paid ees in accordance with a master insurance policy, standard student contract and the CurtinSingapore reund policy.

Note 1: all ees are inclusive o seven percent GST.

Note 2: the tuition ees (shown in Singaporean dollars) are based on a normal ull-time workload o 100 credits per trimester unless otherwise stated. Studentsstudying more than 100 credits per trimester will have a higher annual tuition ee. Course changes will attract ee rates applicable at that time. A student shouldexpect that the indicative trimester course ee, as shown on the letter o offer, might vary rom the actual tuition ee according to the units (subjects) undertaken.The indicative ee is a guide as to what the actual tuition ee will be, because the actual tuition ee is not calculated until enrolment is completed. To calculatethe actual course ee, you can reer to the unit (subject) ee that is listed at curtin.edu.sg (reer to the ‘Fees’ section o the menu). All ees listed are indicative andsubject to annual increases.

STUDENT REFUND AGREEMENT

NEW STUDENTS

Total refundWhere an offer o a place is withdrawn,a visa denied or Curtin Singapore isunable to provide a course, all tuitionees are ully reundable. I the offerwas made on the basis o incorrect orincomplete inormation supplied by theapplicant/student, Curtin Singaporereserves the right to retain 10 percento the tuition ee or one trimester. Forprospective students with conditionaloffers, i conditions stipulated inthe letter o offer cannot be met, alltuition ees are ully reundable.

Partial refundNew students who, afer accepting anoffer o a place, give at least 10 weeks’notice prior to the start o trimesterthat they are unable to take up the offer,will receive a reund o tuition ees paid,less an administrative ee o SG$550.New students who, afer acceptingan offer o a place, give less than 10weeks’ notice prior to commencemento the trimester that they are unable totake up the offer, will receive a reundo tuition ees paid, less 10 per cento tuition ees or one trimester.

New students who withdraw romtheir enrolled course afer the start othe trimester, but prior to the censusdate,* will receive a reund o 50 percent o tuition ees paid or thattrimester. New students with an initialenrolment greater than 75 creditsin the trimester, who subsequentlyreduce their study load to 75 creditsor any reason prior to the censusdate,* will receive a credit o the tuitionees paid in respect o the unit/srom which they have withdrawn.The credit shall be used towardsuture studies in Curtin Singapore.

CONTINUING STUDENTS

Total refundContinuing students who, afercompletion o the enrolmentprocess, subsequently withdrawrom their course prior to thecommencement o the trimester,will not incur a ee liability.

Partial refundContinuing students who completelywithdraw rom their course priorto the census date* will receivea reund o 50 percent o tuitionees paid or the trimester.

Continuing students with an initialenrolment greater than 75 credits inthe study period, who subsequently

reduce their study load to 75 creditsor any reason prior to the censusdate,* will receive a credit o the tuitionees paid in respect o the unit/srom which they have withdrawn.This credit shall be used towardsuture studies at Curtin Singapore.

Appeal against refundIn the event that a student isdissatisfied with the outcome o thereund, a written appeal can be made tothe finance office at Curtin Singapore.

PAYMENT OF FEES
