Profile
As of many architectural/urban planning students, I often had to deal with issues that required critical thought, creativity and a commercial bent. In all these instances I coped very well, and appeared to have the aptitude required. From my school record it can be seen that I have strong creative qualities. As an individual I have always worked steadily towards achieving the targets I set for myself. I take pride in presentation and punctual submission of any work requirement. I am a team leader that holds strong values at which I live my life guided by. I represented my school in sport many sport activities. I am always willing to take on new tasks in order to learn in both my field of discipline, as well as others.
Manifesto
As an architectural graduate, I was trained from the inception of my learning process to consider green design as a fundamental feature of all interventions in the urban environment. This lead me to think that in order to create a sustainable future, we need to re-address our current development thought process. By designing platforms that assist sustainability and resilience, we will move towards more equitable society.

Work Experience
JASA LSM(Life skills and mentorship programme)- in collaboration with FNB bankDate: January to November 2011Duties: I was required to, along with other students, start a company at the beginning of the year and study the progress made throughout the year in the working environment. We created a company that dealt designed custom made t-shirts to each customer’s specification, along with our own range of designed t-shirts.
Rehmaan and Associates Date: January to March 2015Duties:My intention was to gain experience in the field of architecture during my final year of tertiary studies.
Big City UrbanistDate: June 2015 to currentDuties: My role at BCU is to target the current lifestyles of the everyday urban environment and to design realistic solutions that drive positive influence. My specialized field helps me to identify and approach diverse landscapes and design solutions that contribute to creating compact & ergonomic cities that will promote radical lifestyle changes. Along with this, my focus is largely driven by community upliftment. I aim at designing precincts that tie the three pivotal aspects of life together- Live , Work , Play. My vision for BCU is to break away from the norms of traditional designs. This will invariably assist developing cities to reach their optimum capital status.
Under my current position I have been responsible for the designs and project management of the following completed projects:
1) Recycled outdoor gymnasiumA project completed for ZSS, a security company based in Linbro park, Sandton. This outdoor gym is unique because 95% of the material used was recycled. By Using scrap material, we turned a dead space into an attractive active land use.
2) Skills development programme in the Johannesburg ZooThrough our skills development programme we aimed at contributing towards a system where skills development and production responds to the socio-economic needs of our country and its labour market. We feel that the generation of high quality skills will enhance investment and improve service delivery. We have conducted a programme that empowered 10 unskilled individuals with adequate training in unique furniture design and construction.
3) Recycled outdoor eating/social space design for labour workers. We designed a comfortable 20 seater eating area, coupled with a fire place, two recreational pods and a lounge area. The construction of this project comprised mainly of recycled material. Our outdoor eating space was designed particularly for industrial labourers who would otherwise eat, socialise and recreate in an unpleasing and de-motivating environment. This design invariably instilled a sense of pride, ownership and belonging to the inhabitants of the space.
