CV TEAM SECTION LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

MISSIONThe CV Team Section Leadership Council seeks to transform cardiovascular care and improve heart health by fostering, encouraging and facilitating a team-based care approach to cardiovascular care. The Council advocates for the active and strategic engagement of CV Team professionals across the ACC.

VISIONThe CV Team Section will dramatically reduce the incidence, severity and complications of CV disease, as well as promote prevention, reduce health disparities and improve personal and population-based CV health, through the advancement of team-based care.

The CV Team Strategic Plan was developed to ensure the meaningful inclusion, involvement and recognition of the value of the CV multidisciplinary care team to the ACC.

It includes input from CV Team members across the College—including CV Team Section leaders—and aligns with the goals of the 2019 – 2023 ACC Strategic Plan.

GOAL 1Increase the relevance as the

CV professional home through the meaningful engagement of the multidisciplinary CV Team.

GOAL 2Generate and

deliver actionable knowledge that

supports CV Team member practice.

GOAL 3Advance quality, equity and value of CV care for the entire multidisciplinary CV Care Team.
