CURRICULUM VITAE OF SALAH UDDIN AHMED KEY QUALIFICATIONS: Have more than 18 years of professional experience as, Trainer, Medical Officer, Health Supervisor, Program Officer (Medical) in FP-MCH program, Technical Officer (QA) in National Integrated Population and Health Program (NIPHP), Quality Improvement Coordinator in NGO Service delivery Program (NSDP), Deputy Program Manager (BCC & Training) in Save the Children USA and Manager, Blue Star Program of Social Marketing Company (SMC). Manager, Blue Star Program-Social Marketing Company (SMC)January 24, 2007 to date:

Planning, organizing and implementing all program related activities to expand Blue Star Franchising Program as well as ensuring quality of care. Also provides support to the Health providers training Program (HPTP) team. In addition, provides guidance to the Monitoring Officers to effectively monitor the Blue Star outlets. Build and maintain strong liaison with the Directorate of Family Planning Clinical Services team to ensure continued support and their participation in the training for Blue Star providers. Provide proper guideline to the sales force for selection of new Blue Star providers as well as tracking the existing providers. Work with the Sales and Marketing Division to arrange basic and refresher training for the Blue Star providers. Explore feasibility of implementing public health priority services/programs. Work closely with different communication agencies and provide guidance to develop different communication materials as well as field level activation. Manage a network of 3500 Blue Star Providers (Private health providers) to offer and implement Family Planning/Reproductive health services including public health priority services. Provide active support and guidance in implementing the awareness campaign on Maternal and Neonatal Health (MNH), Healthy Timing and Spacing of pregnancy and Tuberculosis control program of SMC.

Deputy Program Manager (BCC & Training)-MCHN of Jibon O Jibika under Save the Children USASeptember 07, 2005 to January,23 2007: Under the guidance of Program Manager- MCHN, conducts situational assessment of BCC, develops BCC and advocacy strategies for maternal and child health program. Designs advocacy plan with Impact Area team, NGOs, concerned partners, and MOHFW regarding maternal and child health, and nutrition issues. Coordinates with all concerned ministries and multi-media and multi-mix channels as appropriate. Conduct workshops with NGOs and GOB at regional, national level, district and upazila levels. Supervise the MCHN activities at the field level and provide guidance specially in the area of BCC.

Quality Improvement Coordinator, University Research Corporation, LLC , Bethesda August 01, 2002 to September 06, 2005: Under the NGO Service Delivery Program(NSDP), Bangladesh the main responsibility is to provide technical Assistance to the Bangladeshi NGOs in improving the Quality of the ESP services through Quality monitoring and Supervision (QMS). Meet regularly with NGOs and their clinic staffs and other stakeholders to identify issues and

Technical Officer (Quality Assurance), Pathfinder International, Dhaka, Bangladesh August 16, 1998-to July 31, 2002: Provides technical assistance to the NGO clinic staffs to develop strategies for improving the Reproductive health services including the other ESP services to improve the quality of life of the family health. Assists the NGOs to develop good working relationship with the local government officials especially with the staffs of upazilla health complex. Actively involved in developing the curriculum like TOT on Community based ARI pilot activities, TOT on emergency contraceptive pill, Supervision and quality management of ESP services for RSDP supervisors, rational drug use etc. Contributed to formulate the polio eradication strategies of RSDP-NGOs and involved in developing the guidelines regarding the implementation of National Immunization days (NIDs). Develops projects proposals, monitors and provides technical assistance to the NGO project staff. Supervise and monitor the activities of Upazila clinic staff in relation to Essential service packages (ESP). Visited and monitored the clinic and satellite clinic activities. Prepared monthly performance report. Provided and ensured quality of services to the customer. Assessed the staff training needs and initiated the staff development. Provided orientation on ESP to different urban NGOs.
