SATURDAY ACADEMY

Have you been absent this school year? Cypress High School students that have been

absent for any reason (EXCUSED or UNEXCUSED) since the first day of school will be

given an opportunity to recover instructional minutes. Saturday Academy will provide

students an opportunity to work on academic skills with our teachers in various subjects!

Students without an absence can also participate!

How to Participate:

1. Complete the Saturday Academy form.

2. Check in at 8:00 AM on Saturday morning. You will then be released to meet your

teacher in their classroom.

3. Bring homework and/or study materials.

*Attention parents of 9th grade athletes: If your student athlete has NOT taken the MANDATORY State physical fitness test, there is an opportunity on April 2nd at 7:15 in the small gym. The exciting world of esports has arrived at AUHSD! Come watch your school compete in the first annual AUHSD ESPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES being held live at WESTERN HIGH SCHOOL this SATURDAY! We’ve assembled the best of the best across the entire district to compete in SUPER SMASH BROTHERS ULTIMATE, MARIO KART and FIFA 2019! This is a SATURDAY ACADEMY event and will include SATURDAY ACADEMY CREDIT — the top players from this Saturday will be competing in the live finals event at the end of April at STEAM-a-PALOOZA! Come join us this Saturday to learn to shoutcast like a pro, livestream like a pro and to compete like a pro! This event is open to EVERYONE! *The indoor competition season for band and pageantry is going strong. Both groups have done well, and look to do well at their championships! To that end, the Drumline performs today at their championships taking place at Cal State San Bernardino. If they qualify in prelims, they will perform again on Sunday at semifinals. Good, luck, percussion! *Pageantry is also having a strong season, and looks to build on this success on Saturday, competing at Rancho Cucamonga High School.
