GUIDELINES
You must use English through the whole presentation.
Wait until the class is quiet before beginning your presentation.
Each presentation must be 3-4 minutes long. Make sure you introduce EACH member
of the group. Each group member must speak/interact
equally in the presentation. Each presentation will have one
situation in which the language from 2 class lessons is used.
PRESENTATION GRADING CRITERIA Fluency 10 Points
Student speaks clearly, with no hesitation and is engaged in the conversation.
Pronunciation/Volume 10 Points Student uses correct pronunciation and can be easily heard
Interaction 10 Points Every member of the group actively participates in the
presentation. Presentation is 3-4 minutes long. Vocabulary/Content 10
Points Group uses appropriate words and phrases, displaying
knowledge of past lessons. Participation/Creativity
10 Points Topic of presentation is engaging. Students show enthusiasm.
Presentation is polished and well delivered.

What is culture shock?
CULTURE SHOCK
Anxiety produced when a person moves to a completely new environment
What it looks like: a lack of direction not knowing what to do or how to do things in the new
environment not knowing what is appropriate or inappropriate behavior
The feeling of culture shock generally sets in after the first few weeks of coming to a new place, and can last up to a year.
