TraditionalThe Grant’s Residence was designed for a retired European couple, who desired to keep aspects of their heritage present while living in California. Leisure spaces are highly significant to the client as they enjoy entertaining friends and family very often. Warm colors, textures, patterns, and rich architectural detailing inspired by the Italian Renaissance was used throughout.

ContemporaryVirgen’s Residence

A contemporary home with an open space plan was designed to satisfy the needs of a young busy couple, who love to entertain and cook for their friends and family. Subtle room divisions with partial walls and furniture were created to maintain privacy from spaces such as the master bedroom and the home office; which is very important since the couple often receives clients at their home office. Large windows and glass sliding doors were installed to maximize the beautiful ocean views. Principles of universal design were implemented to provide this couple with a house where they can age without losing mobility around it.

A building on a school campus was redesigned to offer a unique space for the growing graphic design department. The school features an open space plan that offers an exciting and comfortable learning environment with areas designed for collaborative work with the purpose of motivating students to interact with each other and reinforce their teamwork skills. An art gallery was also incorporated in the design so that the focal point of the building would be the student work displayed.

ThesisThe Wave is a restaurant that will provide a fine dining experience for guests that suffer from diseases that require restricted diets. At The Wave, guests will be able to receive guidance with their diets and local resources for medical and emotional support.

The open layout will encourage interaction between other guests since it is important for people that suffer from any disease to share experiences with other people and receive support from other patients that have succeeded in their recovery. The Wave offers a full view to the kitchen where guests can observe how the chef and cooks work and handle food.
