DAHBASHI INFORMATION SYSTEMS : on-the-go at all times !

DAHBASHI ENGINEERING’s in-house developed on-line ERP system, “DIS” (DAHBASHI INFORMATION SYSTEMS) has been growing stronger year after year with new modules and technologies being integrated into it.

“DIS” is currently used by 250 users (a continuously growing number as new employees keep joining the family) in 16 branches all across the GCC and India. A key ingredient of “DIS” is the use of a unified database to store data for the various system modules. All functional de-partments that are involved in DAHBASHI ENGINEERING’s operations are integrated into the one system using a single on-line database. Following are the new modules that were added to “DIS” in the year 2013 :

I have been in the software industry for the past 5 years, working as a developer. During the last two years, I have been working in DAHBASHI ENGINEERING. What has really amazed me over the course of my tenure here is the fact that a small team of good, qualified professionals seem to have outperformed many a disciplined and larger team in their visu-alization and implementation of processes, toolsets and philosophies. It would not be too daft to compare software engineers with creative artists. Both start with an empty canvas or screen, with a bare idea or concept in mind. After a lot of painstaking hours spent working on each medium, the final result is a painting or a software programme ! I suppose that’s what keeps the adrenaline flowing and the excitement levels high.

MHD Service : A before and after story !

This battery came to us with a complaint of not accepting any charge. The loose bolt was quick-ly identified as the main culprit. Apart from the fact that it had not received any daily, weekly or monthly routine maintenance and was obviously not on any AMC programme, the customer had not felt the necessity of even putting it through a single service since the day he had bought the battery along with the Fork Lift Truck !!! It was given a full service and “make-over”, some bolts, inter-cell connectors and the main cable harness were replaced and it went back into service, looking and performing as good as new.
