Pulwama attack martyrcremated with full state honours

AHMEDABAD, Aug 27:

The mortal remains of CRPFjawan Dinesh Borase, killed in thePulwama militant attack yesterday,were consigned to flames with fullstate honours here today.

Earlier in the day, the body ofBorase (30) was flown toAhmedabad airport on a BSFchopper.

He was given the guard of hon-our in presence of Minister of Statefor Home, Gujarat, PradipsinhJadeja, minister Nirmala Vadhvani,and senior officials.

The body was taken to hishome at Amardeep Park Society inNaroda locality here, after the dig-nitaries paid their tribute by layingwreaths.

Hundreds of people were pres-ent at the society when the truckcarrying Borase's mortal remainsarrived there. Waving the tricolour,they shouted slogans like "BharatMata Ki Jai", "Vande Matram",and "Pakistan Murdabad."

Borase is survived by his par-

ents, wife, a four-year-old daugh-ter, and a four-month-old son.

His body was then taken to thecrematorium after his family mem-bers paid tribute, where the lastrites were performed in presence ofhundreds of people.

Borase's family members saidhe had visited Ahmedabad onlytwo months back and was planningto visit again during the upcomingfestival of Navratri.

He had spoken to his wifebefore the encounter broke out yes-terday, they said.

In a message, Chief MinisterVijay Rupani paid tribute to themartyr and announced the ex gratiaof Rs 4 lakh.

Borase, who joined the CRPFin the year 2005, was posted inJammu and Kashmir for ten years.

He was among the eight securi-ty personnel who were killed in asuicide attack carried out by themilitants on the district police com-plex in south Kashmir's Pulwama.Three terrorists were also killed inthe encounter. (PTI)

the State. He added that contri-bution of local companiestowards Skill India Mission andemployability options for local

youth must be encouraged. Heasked officials to make efforts tobridge gap between Industrialrequirements and availableemployee skill set.
