Editorialby Petr Cech

Around 4 clock in the morning and I‘m still sitting around here, eyes closing slowly, all the Pepsi gone and I‘m starting to see little monkeys dancing around my head. Hmm... may-be I really should go and sleep, but this issue has to be done around noon tomorrow (well, when I think abou it it‘s actual-ly today), so I go on.........Damn, where is all my Guarana gone?......Oh, almost forgot to welcome you all at this wonderful sessi-on on behalf of the pressroom. We will always be around, hungry for the gossip and news you can provide us with. So enjoy reading the stuff.

Interview with our Slave-Orga Chrisby Bastian Schweinsteiger, Thierry Henry and Maradona

1) Who is better organiser, you or Head-Orga Max?*long consideration* Well, to be honest, Max and I have dif-ferent opinions about different things. We have been different types of delegates on our fi rst sessions. But just to give a short comment, Max is the better one. He organised the beer for organisers, chairs, journos, and delegates. And he gave them Germanys best Lollipops and the famous Kinderschokolade at the arrival.

2) Who of you is the sexiest?*Confused* I prefer myself. I have the typical German haircut, shiny and short, and I support the national team, what Max doesn‘t. Because Germany is sexier than the FC St. Pauli, Max‘ *** socialist club. And I have more hair on my breast, than Max.

3) What do you think is the sexiest fruit and why?Pineapples because they are so juicy, meaty and come from Fin-land. Well, the strawberries are quite sexy as well, because they are as hairy as I am.

4) What did you enjoyed here until now? There are a lot of things I enjoyed: The different mixture of peoples and cultures, different people from all over Europe drink the same beer, the session happens during the World Cup, what makes it unique, as there will be no World Cup in Germany for the next 80 years and I enjoy being the slave orga of Max.

5) What was your childhood fantasy?I always appear to be the sad one but I‘m always ‚the womanis-er‘. When I was young, I wanted to be a gymnastic dancer and I have been talking all the time about wanting to make the world a better place.

6) What was your best EYP-experience so far?Meeting Max fi rst and sharing a bed with him. And of course, organising the Kick-It-Like-EYP Forum in Münster. And of course the session in Bialystok, where all the delegates cried at my closing speech.

7) Anything you would like to reveal to us about your fellow head-organiser?I don’t want to be too honest but Max is quite a strange person. I know a lot of secrets. I mean, we lived together, shared one bed and one love. Max tries to appear the intelligent one, he always appears to be smart but he isn’t, he’s a *** ***. He talks too much, drinks to much, and organises too much.

Quotes:

Johanna (Delegate, FR) to Marie (Journo, FR): - Can I come to your room tonight in order to, er…help you fi nd inspiration?- But we’ll have to be careful because the beds are really tight!

Nathalie (Chair, IT): - Everybody’s copying Italy!!! See: Ferrero, pizzas…Everybody loves Italy! „The World Cup obviously makes people ever more patriotic“

Martin (Journo, DE):- Is it true, that you shared a room with Chris for 1 1/2 month?Max (Head-Orga, DE):- Yes and we even shared a bed.Martin:- Allright, but the bed is quite big.Max:- Yeah, but Chris is quite big as well.

12 things you need to know about Münsterby Bastian Schweinsteiger

1) In fact there are twice more bicycles than people in this city.2) You have a beautiful and refreshing lake, right in front of the house. But, you are not allowed to swim in, as it is to polluted.3) On the other hand, accor-ding to the UN, Münster is the healthiest city in the world.4) Seeing almost just young people here has a reason. With 40.000 students and 250.000 citizens, Münster is the biggest student city in Germany.5) All the people you meet in the park are either sitting or running. The normal walking seems out-of-date.6) As unathletic person you seem to be a complete outsi-der, what makes you feel really ashamed.7) You can fi nd big balls in the park!!!8) The clerks of the town hall seem to be really soppy in EYP, especially in Max & Chris.9) Münster has a real rabbit plague, as you can fi nd rabbits all over the city. Offi cially it is allowed to catch this cute and fl eecy hares, but just to kill them :(10) Münster is famous for Max, who is living here.11) And it is even more fa-mous, because Chris is living here as well.12) And fi nally, the session in Münster will became a magni-fi cent milestone in EYP history, what you need to know.

Welcome to Football !!!by Thierry Henry

Tonight’s atmosphere in Müns-ter was more or less like in 1998 in Paris: “Et 1, et 2, et 3/0 […]”.Today France was playing Spain and it won 3/1.Frenchies were jumping all over the place, the Spanish were disappointed but hugged the jumping-frogs anyway. This truly was a moving mo-ment. We really can’t deny the obvious fact that football makes people more patriotic than they used to be, but also makes peoples closer to each other. People sing, cry, meet other people coming from va-rious countries, laugh together, hug each other… They feel proud to wear their national colours but they feel happy to belong to a fascinating inter-national community as well. Actually, doesn’t that ring a bell? Sounds like something familiar, hm? So what about mixing it all together and live the wonderful experience of an EYP session taking place during the football World Cup? Well, this strange and fascina-ting experience is what you will live this week in Münster, and all the elements to make you have as much fun as you can are present, so just kick it!!!!!

Home Sweet Homeby Maradona

Do not expect luxuries hear, dear delegates, a bed and basin is all you will get, howe-ver, the location is arguably the best EYP has ever seen. As we have heard from our head organisers many times, Münster is the healthiest city in the world and was voted in years 2004 and 2005 as the best city worldwide to live in. So please try and remember, when opening the door to your new home for fi ve days, do not scream and go running to the orgas complaining about the lack of furniture. After all Vogue and Home&Garden ma-gazines have been celebrating the aescetic lifestyle and interi-or design for years now and in combination with the fresh air of Muenster and lovely natural views of the Aasee just outside your window, you should be returning home to your parents more healthy and relaxed than ever! Aaah, isn’t it just pure bliss? (P.S. You are actually al-lowed to leave your mark here as well because the hostel is scheduled for complete reno-vation in July. Hmm, wonder what those bland white walls will look like when we will have left?)
