RECENT ACHIEVEMENTSØ 100% registered eligible beneficiaries (405) have been issued Gas connection under
Ujjwala Scheme.Ø 100% PAHAL beneficiaries (54,560) have been seeded with Aadhar Numbers.Ø 100% FP Shops (51) are having functional ePoS.Ø 100% Ration Cards (19,944) have been seeded with Aadhar Number.Ø 100% Cashless Payment under Govt. Transactions.Ø 100% cash benefits have been paid to beneficiaries in their Bank Account through DBT.Ø 100% Pension to all eligible Old Age (Senior Citizen), Widow and Disabled Person.Ø 100 % Piped Water Supply in all habitations of both district.Ø Entire UT has been declared Open Defecation Free (ODF)and Kerosene free.Ø All weather motorable roads in all villages.Ø All eligible families under PMAY (Rural & Urban) as per SECC- 2011 Survey have been
sanctioned houses and Construction will be completed upto March, 2019.Ø 100% houses electrified.Ø 100% street lights of Municipal Areas have been replaced with LED street lights. All street
lights of Panchayat areas will be converted into LED street lights upto March, 2019.Ø 24 x 7 uninterrupted Power Supply.Ø Diu district runs entirely on Solar Power during the day.

Ø Air connectivity from Ahmedabad to Diu under UDAN Scheme.
Ø Nursing College started in Daman from Academic Year 2017-18.
Ø Engineering College started in Daman from Academic Year 2018-19.
Ø Diploma in Plastic Engineering in Govt. Polytechnic, Daman from Academic Year 2017-18.
Ø All Schools/ Anganwadies (Nandghar) in Daman have been renovated under CSR.
Ø Education Hub comprising of Government College and Polytechnic completed at Diu &
construction of Food Craft Institute in progress .
Ø Shala Pravesh Utsav in all Primary Schools.
Ø Skill Development courses under Pradhan Mantri Kaushaal Vikas Yojana.
Ø Implementation of Aayushman Bharat (27,000 Benf. Registered)
Ø Celebration of Beti Janmotsav and distribution of Badhai Kits to increase Sex ratio.
Ø Launched Pehli Savari to Provide Transportation Facility for expectant mothers and sick
infants.
Ø Up-gradation of 20 sub-centres out of 26 sub-centres as Health & Wellness Centre.
Ø “SWABHIMAN” scheme launched to provide take home ration (8.5 kg Nutritions Food) to
the pregnant women, lactating mothers and adolescent girls.
Ø Launched “Shram Yogi Swasthya Seva Scheme” to Provide Ambulance Services for
Industrial and others Workers.
Ø Launched the “Shram Yogi Prasad” Scheme to provide healthy & nutritious food to
building & other construction workers and Industrial workers at nominal cost of Rs. 5 & 10.
Ø Scheme for Promotion of Affordable Rental Smart Housing (SPARSH) for improving
housing condition of Industrial Workers.
Ø Rozgar Melas to provide employment to the youths in local Industries.
Ø Projects over Rs. 1,000 crore have been initiated to boost tourism and to improve “New
Daman & Diu – New India”.
RECENT INITIATIVES
Ø Daman district of UT of Daman & Diu has been awarded “PM Award for Excellence inPublic Administration for Promotion of Digital Payments” in month of April, 2018.
Ø UT Administration of Daman & Diu have got two National Awards for implementation of “Prime
Minister’s Matritva Suraksha Abhiyan (PMSMA)” in month of June, 2018.
• Best performing UT in terms of maximum proportion of Pregnant Women covered
through PMSMA.
• Maximum proportion of high risk pregnancies identified through PMSMA.

Ø UT Administration of Daman & Diu has been awarded by National Award (3rd Rank) byMinistry of Rural Development under Group- I (NER, Himalayan States and UTs) for overall
performance in implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Gramin (PMAY-G) as per

The Department of Agriculture through extension & publicity will
