DALLAS FORT WORTH SOCIETYThe Ultimate Level of Private Club Membership
Just over one year ago, City Club entered into an association with select area clubs called the Dallas Fort WorthSociety. At that time, City Club members electing to upgrade their membership to include Society privilegeswere able to do so with the waiver of their Enrollment Fee for a specified period of time. Many members optedto do so, as the Society offers privileges not only at 30 Metroplex country clubs, business clubs, and athleticclubs, but also at more than 200 clubs worldwide.
We are delighted to announce that City Club and the Society are once again offering this membership upgradewithout the normal $500 Enrollment Fee for members enrolling prior to May 31st. The only requirement will bedues of $40 per month. This provides members with social and dining privileges and space-available golf, tennisand athletic privileges with preferred rates at each of the participating Clubs.
Other benefits you will enjoy as a DFW Society member include, but are not limited to:
➢ Two cart-fee-only rounds of golf each month at participating clubs.
➢ One 2-for-1 dining experience each month at participating clubs.
➢ Complimentary court pass for tennis or racquetball.
➢ Complimentary pass to an athletic/fitness club.
We hope you will seriously consider this important benefit for City Club members. For additional details, pleasecontact Membership Director, Monica DeLaTorre, at 817.878.4088 or e-mail [email protected].

Portion Distortion...Size up your servings!~~AAmmyy GGooooddssoonn,, MMSS,, RRDD,, LLDD
Have you been looking for quality nutrition advice that you can apply to you and your family? From this point forward theHarris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital Executive Health Program’s registered dietitian, Amy Goodson, MS, RD, LD, will beproviding City Club members with nutrition articles and e-blasts. Our goal is to help you incorporate “nutritionalwellness” in your life on a daily basis.
Are your portions distorted? …How can you “size up” nutrition in your own life? One of the biggest nutrition problems inAmerica is proper portion sizes of food. Is it that mashed potatoes are bad for you? NO! You just may not need 3 cupsof them at one time.
Everywhere we look, things are “super-sized”, “big gulp”, or “2 for 1”! We have become a society that wants the most wecan get for a buck, but is that best for us nutritionally? The truth is that some foods like fruits and vegetables can beeaten in larger quantities for lower amounts of calories, but most of us eat large quantities of high calorie foods like fastfood, pasta w/cream sauce, nuts, etc. So, what is a proper portion size of food? Is it possible that the Food GuidePyramid could be right?
Let’s take a look at what a serving size really is…
