PortraitsPortrait photography is one of the most interesting types of photography as it focuses on capturing the ultimate subject: people. This type of photography focuses mostly on correctly using light and other resources to show facial expressions, making it predominant. In a way, this is a way to capture a time and a place for the person being the subject. However, there are many types of portraits as they range in colors, environments and poses or actions.

With the many different tools that are to the disposition of the photographer and the millions of people, the possibilities are almost infinite. This allows for this type of photography to be timeless and emotive; something that can be personal.

The outdoors can be define as any area in the open air or outside of building. Many of the photography we see every day consists in capturing the beauty in the nature. In fact, photography is one with the world that surrounds us. When we are able to capture the beauty of it, from great places to the everyday landscapes, we are able to see the true world in which we live.

Nevertheless, capturing the outdoors is one of the most time consuming and demanding parts of this art. Those splendid moments that happen for minutes in a day require the patience and skill that come with time. After all, that what ultimately allows the photographer to create the perfect photograph.

PerspectiveIn photography, perspective is a creative tool that allows the photographer to show objects from a very unique and different point of view. That is what truly differentiates a great image from a normal one. However, the creativity and the ability to show the amazing in the things we see every day are tools that are necessary to succeed in this field.

Perspective is basic and without it the photographer doesn’t really exist. As the photographer is able to sense the relationship between different objects and dimensions respect the viewpoint, he will master perspective. Then, the images can become remarkable photography.

Fine ArtFine art is the creative branch that produces mostly visual and imaginative content. This art uses a creative, aesthetic and intellectual style that results in unique images. In photography, fine art focuses in the personal creative vision of the cameraman more than the technical skills in order to capture images. Therefore, this style becomes personal and with a deep meaning for the author. The result of the images that can be considered as fine art, is exceptional and many times breathtaking. This makes this type of photography very interesting and appealing for those that look to show their personal styles.

CandidCandid photography is a style that intends to capture people interacting in a natural environment. In this type of photography, the goal is to capture not only the body, but the mind and soul of the subjects. However, this only occurs when the subject is comfortable, which makes the environment very important. As the subject feels secure and expresses through their actions the images become candid. This can also be accomplished when there is a group that interacts in a natural way. Therefore, the images that result of this style usually have the subject not facing the camera or with different facial expressions that can show their real selves.

Daniel Ortega is a Spaniard with passion for photography and art in general. This is something that has always been with him as he was growing up in the artistic city of Barcelona. Now, as he goes to college in the United States, he is able to develop some new skills in this field while continuing his major in Automotive Engineering.
