Human Technology Frontier
• A major transformation in work driven by combinations of machine
learning, artificial intelligence, the internet of things and robotics
• Need to catalyze the interdisciplinary science and engineering
needed to
– Understand the benefits and risks of new technologies
– Enable the creation of technologies that can collaborate with humans to
enrich their lives in workplaces of the future
Focus on Data at the Human-Technology Frontier
• Continuous streams of data between and among humans and
machines will be used to create, innovate and made decisions
to optimize products and services.
• Biological and chemical-based innovation working with big
data will allow us to expand our mathematical models by
putting together life sciences models based on trends.
• Managing networks of connected devices will change
relationships among organizational partners.
• Data publicly available within minutes of capture will
accelerate the pace of innovation and change.
