DESCRIPTION
Brochure for David Narkewicz, 2011 candidate for mayor of Northampton, MATRANSCRIPT
We live in a great city, built with hard work, commitment, and sacrifi.ce, but there is so much more that we can do to expand on that success. I will bring energy, ideas, and a new generation of leadership to help unite and inspire the people of our city to move Northampton forward.
My goal between now and Election Day is to hear from you and your neighbors about the kind of city you want and how we can all work together as a community to reach those goals.
I hope I can earn your vote on November 8.
Best Wishes,

DAVID NARKEWICZ FOR MAYOR *******
Vision & Platform
Northampton is a great city-an excellent place to live, work, learn, run a business, and raise a family. We have vibrant downtowns, distinctive neighborhoods, beautiful green spaces, rich farmland, a unique history, a
community that supports education and the arts, and talented and civic-minded
residents. I am running for Mayor because I want to keep N orthampton g reat and
believe that together we can make it even better. As Mayor, I will:
Deliver smart, efficient, and cost-effective city services
Ensure that our public schools are strong, vibrant, and provide a great education
Focus economic development efforts on expanding our commercial tax base to create new revenues and jobs
Keep Northampton affordable for all residents
Rebuild our streets and sidewalks and support a walkable, bikeable, and livable city
Advance energy conservation, waste reduction, and other green initiatives, while protecting natural resources
Ensure government is open, fair, and transparent
Actively reach out to residents, ward and neighborhood associations, and businesses, to listen to their ideas and concerns
