The Horror Genre
A horror film is dominated by elements of horror.
•This film genre incorporates a number of sub-genres.
•such as slasher themes, vampire themes, zombie themes, demonic possession etc.
•Some horror films exhibit a substantial amount of cross-over with other genres, particularly science fiction.
Certain stories and themes have proven to be very successful and have inspired many sequels for instance Dracula, Frankenstein etc

(Hover over image for link to trailer)
•A trailer will attract an audience into watching the full film.
•Sets the genre of the film and creates a feel for the setting
•Suggestion of the storyline
•Introduces some of the main characters
•Draws the interest of the audience by displaying attention grabbing footage. Made up of quickly paced clips
•Slowly builds from beginning to an exciting end.
•Usually contain graphics like the film title and opening dates
•May include music and voice over.
