THE 26-STOREY TREEHOUSE > Mon 22nd June > 12pm & 6pm | MECC Auditorium

Andy and Terry had such a ball with their crash-landing entry into the world of theatre with The 13-Storey Treehouse, they’re back for more. 13 storeys more, in fact. AND YOU’RE INVITED!

You know what 13 more storeys means. More INVENTIONS - like the 78 flavour ice-cream dispensing robot and the brain bamboozling Maze of Doom (not to mention the self-inflating underpants) and more things to go WRONG - not least of which is the very real possibility that the entire show is a complete and utter disaster. Will Andy and Terry push their friend Jill to her absolute limits? And who is this shady Hector Houtkop, with a really bad pirate accent? And what about ALL THOSE PIRATES?

MECC presents a CDP production

Stripey - the eggscellent adventures of an emu chick! A Garry Ginivan Attractions production based on the books written and illustrated by Wendy Binks Produced under license by Stunned Emu Press

> Mon 24th August > 6pm | MECC Auditorium > Tue 25th August > 10am & 12pm | MECC Auditorium

Imagine having to keep track of 30 small emu chicks, who are running here, there and everywhere? Well that’s what Crikey, their emu dad must do and when one of them goes missing, that’s when all the fun begins.

Stripey is a cracking adventure, based on a simple story adapted for the stage in the well-known, highly skilled and foot-tapping style associated with other Garry Ginivan Attractions such as Possum Magic, Wombat Stew and My Grandma Lived in Gooligulch!

Thanks to Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Pty Ltd, sponsors of the Young People’s Entertainment Season, we amused thousands of young people and their adults in 2014. One of our most popular programs, the Young People’s Entertainment Season is designed to entertain, stimulate and also make education fun!

In 2015, we have a fantastic line up of Aussie entertainment for young people. From a phenomenal urban circus replacing acrobats with break-dancers and BMX flatlanders, to performances based on popular children’s literature. All performances come with teacher’s notes to aid the school syllabus, helping make that vital connection for kids between what they read at home, and at school, and seeing some uniquely Australian tales brought to life on stage.

We hope you enjoy what’s on offer and that we’ll see you at the MECC very soon.
