The Mitre 10 Mega Ride in a Truck

Day 2015 in the Hawkes Bay proved

to be an successful day. Around

220 trucks all polished and

sparkling, convoyed from Napier

and Hastings to Whakatu. This is a

bi-annual event that helps raise

funds for the Little Elms

Charitable Trust.

Mr Mac enjoyed lending a hand at the Hawkes Bay Regional Excavator Operators Competition. The skill that the competitors showed was impressive and it was also good to see how they interacted with the young people as they helped operate the mini excavator in a safe and timely manor.

A well presented programme. Good rapport with the children. Good balance of humour, information, values and life skill messages. Interactive with children, keen to participate in all aspects. Children fully involved in follow up activities back in the classroom. An awesome experience! The children really enjoyed it, a good balance of information and hands on experience.
