Imagine that somehow a time machine took you back to Victorian England during Christmas time . After

you had some adventures, you came back and prepared a scrapbook of this incredible experience.

How did you get there? Where did you find yourself ? What was the most shocking thing for you?

Why?

What did you see while you were there? What did you hear / smell in on the dark and grim

streets of London?

Who did you see / meet ? Where were they ? What did you talk about?

What did it feel like to be there? What did you want to do ? Were you happy ? Why ? Why not?

Try to be as descriptive as possible—use sensory adjectives, similes and metaphors!

What did you learn about family life, role of men & women, living conditions, food & health ,

jobs people had during the time of Victorian England?

Imagine you are the child who sings a song and begs Scrooge for money at the beginning of ‘A Christmas

Carol’. Create a journal for him as a scrapbook of your life in Victorian England.
