Digital factory Deze transformatie beoogt de effectieve en efficiënte creatie en gebruik van digitale informatie die steeds meer in „realtime‟ beschikbaar is. Dit zowel binnen de eigen onderneming als doorheen de hele waardeketen, van klant, ontwerp, over productie tot dienst na verkoop, ….
De doelstelling is het digitaliseren van de volledige bedrijfsvoering waardoor juiste en relevante informatie op tijd gekend is.
Hierdoor ontstaat online communicatie tussen product en productiesysteem, top en werkvloer, klant en bedrijf en dit over bedrijfsgrenzen heen. In de digitale fabriek ondersteunt de technologie de communicatie tussen de medewerkers. Volgende zaken zijn daarin belangrijk: ● Connectivity: bedrijfsprocessen zijn verbonden met omgeving en medewerkers over verschillende domeinen en toepassingen. ● Collaboration: constante feedback loopt over cross functionele teams en over bedrijfsgrenzen heen ● Intelligence: ICT zet de enorme hoeveelheden data om in informatie en “wisdom”.
