Coach’s Comments

The game against Milton Keynes was really

disappointing strictly in terms of winning and losing. We had enough of the play and the shots to get a win, and had a multi goal lead at one stage, plus a lead very late in the game. Every opportunity was there to have it nailed down before overtime, so from that perspective there was some frustration in how things turned out. Having said that, other than the actual outcome, there was a whole lot in the game to be pleased with and, combined with a big win at Manchester the night prior, a 3 point weekend was good production. We just have a single game this weekend on Saturday against Phoenix so there is always that added bit of pressure knowing that we don’t have a quick turnaround redemption game on Sunday if we don’t do the job. We need to be fully ready from the opening faceoff to make sure we get the only points available to us.
