I wonder whether it’s me or whether you all feel that time is flying by so quickly. It seems like only yesterday that we were celebrating our 5th jubilee edition of the Addvantage Partnership Programme with the British Ambassador as our patron and now we are at the start of the 6th year of the programme.

The 6th edition falls in a very special year for the British Council and Cambridge English Language Assessment as both our organisations have reasons to celebrate – the British Council its 75th year in Poland and Cambridge English its 100th anniversary. Over the years we have been developing continuously in order to meet the needs of an ever changing world. What has not changed, however, is the close cooperation of both organisations, our drive to enhance the services we provide and our commitment to improving our standards of delivery. It’s important to us that our customers and partners remain confident that together we represent the best quality possible. In light of this it gives me great pleasure to announce that Cambridge University Press and Cambridge English Language Assessment have agreed to be our partners and very generous sponsors of this year’s edition of the Addvantage programme.

I am confident that this year the programme will be equally (if not more) impressive than in the past, a goal we aim to achieve with the help of our partners. Zastanawiam się, czy to tylko moje odczucie, że czas tak szybko płynie. Rozpoczynamy właśnie szósty rok działania programu Addvantage, a wydaje się, że dosłownie wczoraj świętowaliśmy jego piątą, jubileuszową edycję, nad którą patronat objął ambasador Wielkiej Brytanii.

6.edycja przypada w wyjątkowym dla British Council i Cambridge English Language Assessment roku – roku obchodów 75-lecia działalności British Council w Polsce oraz 100-lecia Cambridge English. Z biegiem lat rozwijaliśmy się nieustannie by dotrzymywać kroku zmieniającemu się otoczeniu. Jak działa Addvantage?Każdego roku liczymy, ilu kandydatów na egzaminy oferowane przez British Council zarejestrowała Wasza instytucja za pośrednictwem jednego z naszych centrów egzaminacyjnych. W tej edycji uwzględniliśmy kandydatów zarejestrowanych na egzaminy YLE, KET, KET for Schools, PET, PET for Schools, FCE, FCE for Schools, CAE, CPE, BEC, IELTS, ILEC, ICFE, TKT od 19 kwietnia 2012 do 26 kwietnia 2013 roku. W maju poinformujemy Waszą instytucję o łącznej liczbie zarejestrowanych kandydatów i zaproponujemy udział w 6. edycji programu. Liczba kandydatów kwalifikuje do jednego z trzech poziomów uczestnictwa:

How does Addvantage work?Every year we count the candidates your institution has registered for exams offered by the British Council through one of our examination centres. In this edition we have taken into account candidates registered from 19th April 2012 until 26th April 2013 for the YLE, KET, KET for Schools, PET, PET for Schools, FCE, FCE for Schools, CAE, CPE, BEC, IELTS, ILEC, ICFE and TKT examinations. In May we will inform you about the number of candidates registered and offer you participation in the 6th edition of the programme. The total number of candidates registered entitles you to one of three levels of membership:

BronzeAddvantage Bronze entitles you to:

register your candidates for the Cambridge English: YLE, KET, KET for Schools, PET, PET for Schools, FCE, FCE for Schools, CAE, CPE, BEC, ILEC and ICFE examinations at a lower fee,

receive a copy of the “Cambridge English Self-study Pack (Student’s Book with answers and Audio CDs”, funded by Cambridge English Language Assessment, containing past examination papers. Kiedy i jak zgłosić się do Addvantage?Do końca kwietnia 2013 roku policzymy, ilu kandydatów na egzaminy zarejestrowały poszczególne instytucje. Tym, którzy zarejestrowali ich co najmniej pięciu, zaproponujemy udział w programie. Pisemne zgłoszeniaod zainteresowanych instytucji będziemy przyjmować w maju 2013 roku.

Kiedy i jak otrzymam materiały przypisane mojej kategorii w Addvantage?Ofertę będziemy realizować od czerwca 2013 do połowy kwietnia 2014 roku. Część produktów przyślemy pocztą, a materiały informacyjne e-mailem. Skorzystanie z niektórych przywilejów (np. wpis na listę szkółuczestniczących w programie na www.britishcouncil.pl czy przeprowadzenie egzaminu u siebie w szkole) zależy od decyzji uczestnika programu.

Pytania i odpowiedzi

When and how can I join the Addvantage programme?In April 2013 we will have gathered full data on the number of candidates registered by particular institutions. Those that have registered at least five candidates will be invited to join the programme and asked to send us their applications in May 2013.

When and how will I receive the benefits associated with my level of membership?The offer is valid from June 2013 to mid-April 2014. Some products will be posted, others will be sent by e-mail. The decision as to whether to take up some or all of the options (e.g. being mentioned by name as a programme member on www.britishcouncil.pl or hosting the exams on your own premises) lies with the programme member.

Where can I find more information?You can find detailed information and the terms of the programme posted on the Exams Services website for institutions on www.britishcouncil.pl.
