Boarding Documents

CARNIVAL uses electronic documents forboarding ‐ they are only available onlineand must be downloaded and printed

before you board. Your Fun Pass is youboarding pass. Do not forget yourpassport to use as identification whileboarding. Zoe’s travel has completed, downloaded and printed the documentsfor you. The document packages will beavailable for you at the pre‐cruisemeeting. Please make sure you bringthese with you on the trip and do not pack them in your checked luggage.

Carnival Luggage tags are alsodownloaded and printed by Zoe’s TravelService. Make sure you have one tag foreach piece of luggage you plan to check. You do not need tags for carry‐on luggage‐ just make sure you name is on the carry‐on. You will be provided with twoluggage tags per cabin as we try to limit checked baggage to one large bag perperson because of bus space. If you needadditional tags please let Zoe’s Travelservice know. Follow the directions forfolding and attaching the tags to yourluggage. If you lose your tags or they teartags are available at the port when wecheck in. Do not leave your luggage if it does not have a tag on it.

If you have questions or problems withany part of this, please give us a call.

Parking

Parking at no additional cost will beavailable during the cruise at the DesotoPool lot. If you are not a resident of Hot Springs Village make sure you call Donna

Aylward at 501‐984‐2605 to arrange yourentry into the village. The HSV police areaware that people on CruiseFest 2010 willbe parking at the pool lot and they will bewatching the cars ‐ but as always make

sure your car is locked and no valuablesare visible.

What  to Pack

Baggage space is limited on our buses soplease bring no more than one carry‐onand one large suitcase per person. Pack

an overnight bag (usually your carry on)for the hotel in Galveston and leave yourlarge (Cruise) luggage on the busovernight.

DO NOT pack your valuables (jewelry, money, and cameras), medicines or traveldocuments (boarding pass andidentification) in your baggage that willbe checked.

On Carnival you may bring one bottle of wine per person on board. If you want toconsume the wine at your dinner tableyou will be charged a corkage fee of $10per bottle. If you bring liquor on board ineither carry on or checked bag – and if it is found it will be confiscated and may bedestroyed with no compensation to youfor your loss.

The weather will be warm in the

Caribbean ‐ but may be cool when weleave Galveston ‐ and it is often cool in thedining rooms because of the airconditioning ‐ we suggest you bring alight jacket and or sweater. A brief rainshower is not uncommon in some of theports ‐ so if you are taking and outside

excursion you may want to consider apackable rain jacket or umbrella.

There is one formal night during thecruise. Formal dress is not required.

Medicines

Make sure you bring all of you medicationon board in your carryon bags!Furthermore, make sure you have enoughfor the trip and an extra day or two. Wesuggest that you bring them in theprescription bottles ‐so in case of anemergency refill or boarder inspectionyou have the information needed. DO

NOT PACK MEDICINES IN YOURCHECKED BAGGAGE.

The Bus Ride-(meals and

facilities)

Rotary and Zoe's have chartered moderncoaches to provide you with acomfortable ride to Galveston, transfer tothe restaurant and back to the hotel and

to the Cruise terminal and finally back toHot Springs Village.

When we return from the cruise buseswill be waiting for us at the Cruiseterminal to take us back to Hot SpringsVillage. The buses will be scheduled toarrive at the Cruise terminal to pick us upat 11am – you will be allowed the leavethe ship after customs has cleared theship and CARNIVAL announces

disembarkation. We have scheduled whenthe buses are to arrive, and they cannot arrive at the terminal until scheduled toarrive or depart before the scheduled todepart. We suggest you stay on the shipand relax until just enough time to get off the ship, claim you bags and clearcustoms (35‐45 minutes) and then board

the bus. There are very fewaccommodations for you to wait for thebus once you leave the ship.

The buses have restroom facilities and

will make stops as needed for rest breaks.Additionally meals and drinks will beprovided on the trip down and return.

Baggage room on the bus is limited so werequest that you limit your bags to onecarry on and one large bag per person.Your carryon should contain what youwill need at the hotel as well as when youboard the ship, your valuables andmedicines and travel documents. The is

limited space on the bus for the carry‐onbags, so we suggest that each couplebrings only one carry on into the bus withthem and have the other one stored underthe coach to pick up when we get to thehotel. There will be people at all places tohelp you with your luggage. If you need alittle extra help ‐ like getting the luggagefrom your car just let someone at the busknow. Tips for the people who help withluggage at the cruise terminal are

included in the fare. We suggest youconsider a tip for the bus drivers and thepeople at the hotel that assist you withbags.

Embarkation – getting on the

ship

Getting on the ship sometimes looksconfusing because of all of the peoplegetting on and off the same time. Usuallythe ports do a great job in directing you –just look for signs and uniformed peopleto assist you if you need help. Andremember Cheryl and Donna will be thereto assist you.

Normally the process starts around noon–this can be delayed if the ship was latearriving in port or the custom andboarder inspections are delayed or slow.Don’t worry the ship won’t leave without us if the whole process is delayed.Normally there are just a few easy stepsto get ready to board‐ you will go to acounter (there will be a line) where youwill show the agents your identificationand give them your credit card to

establish your on board credit account. (If you are going to use a cash onboardaccount they will advise you of theprocedures at that point – we do not recommend using cash as the method asthe deposits are usually very high). Youmay be asked for your confirmationnumber and if any information is missing

in the registration file you will need tocomplete. You are usually then given yourshipboard cards which you use foridentification on boarding, use as the keyto your cabin and as a charge card on the

ship. When you have completed theregistration and if the ship is ready toboard you will be shown to the entranceand you will board the ship. Sometimes, if the ship is not ready to board – or theyare boarding by groups you will bedirected to a holding area to await boarding. If you have any problems orquestions here please find Cheryl orDonna for assistance – we usually do not board until all of our passengers on ready

to board. You can have the Carnival agent page a representative of Zoe’s TravelService.

When you first get on the ship we suggest you head for your cabin where you maymeet you cabin steward and find the first ships newsletter waiting for you. In somecases when the ship was delayed inunloading your cabin may not be readywhen you board because it is still being

cleaned. Either way we suggest you headto the open restaurants and enjoy yourfirst on board meal. It may be a littlecrowded in the open restaurant as most people head there as soon as they get on –don’t worry it is not normally thiscrowded for meal times as many morerestaurants are open and people pick different times. This is also a good time tomake reservations for SPA treatments orspecialty restaurants.

If you have any questions or problemswith you cabin see the purser’s office orcontact Cheryl Cabin 6456 or DonnaCabin 8319

Zoe’s Travel Service - We are Certified Travel Specialists!

Why Use a Travel Professional?

In the technology age of find it quick and easy on-line, you may be thinking, why should I use a travel agent? So tohelp you answer that question here are our favorite reasons:

1. Who Ya Gonna Call? What would you do if the hotel has lost your reservation? What would you do if the car rental agency has run out ofcars? Specifically, who are you going to call? Who's going to help you? The hotel? The car rental company? Theydon't care. You're just one person. Losing you as a guest or a customer is no big deal. Basically, you're on yourown. About all you can do is hit the streets and hope that something comes up...

If you book through a travel agent, all you have to do is make one simple phone call. And everything will be takencare of. Will the hotel assist your agent? Will the car rental company assist your agent? Of course they will, because now they're dealing with someone who has the potential to send either hundreds of guests, or no guestsat all. From a purely business perspective, a travel agency can send thousands of dollars (or even tens ofthousands of dollars), or no dollars at all...

2. It is not just about priceYou look to travel agents to provide the best overall solution to your individual travel needs. By asking tons ofquestions up front, an agent can provide a relevant needs assessment. This can include dates, quality or location ofaccommodation or stateroom, cancellation policy, recreational amenities, the ease of doing business, etc. No twocustomers are alike. What works for one may not work for another.

3. Show me the Money (I saved) Saving money is not just about price. It is more about value. If the hotel was not the right location, if the cruise linewas not the right cruise line, if the golf course was not the right golf course it does not matter how much you saved. One can save a ton of money and be miserable or spend a little more to be in heaven. A travel agent canrecommend relevant offerings and also provide cost saving strategies. Moving a date, changing the location of aroom/cabin, being open to flight options, etc., all can save money. Nobody wants to pay more than necessary so anagent will help you find the best value without the sacrifices of a cheap trip.

4. I already have a Job! If you have an agent that you trust, then you don't need to spend what little free time you have, scouring the web, trying to piece everything together-- flights, cars, rooms, etc. In addition, your agent might be working with transferand car rental companies that you simply don't have access to, and in many cases, even hotels and airlines thatyou don't have access to. An agent is someone who has taken the time and made the commitment to be the bestso you don't have to make planning your vacation a second job!

Let's finish with a little story...

No different than most of the rest of us, Bill wanted a fantastic vacation at a fantastically low price. Bill is pretty websavvy, and he had spent hours searching for the vacation he wanted. Our agent went to work and coordinated theentire trip: Airfare, rental car, the resort, and all the excursions. When all was said and done, Bill was presentedwith an incredible value.

However, Bill was convinced that he could get a better price. So he went back out to the web in search of a betterdeal. And indeed he found it-airfare that was $20 per seat lower than what our agent had found for him. So hebooked it.

Problems:On the way there...• Bill's flight arrived at the airport in the middle of the night (after several delays and connections)• By the time he landed, the car rental company was closed for the night• Bill's bags didn't make it to his destination

’ l d d

On the way home...• His flight left very early in the morning• Due to the distance from the airport, he had to leave the resort at 3:00 am• The car rental company was not open yet

Physical Results:• Bill had to spend the first night near the airport• Bill had to spend the last night near the airport• Bill had to rent his car from a more expensive company• The web site that Bill booked his travel through didn't offer travel insurance to pay for replacing his missing items• Bill's 7-night stay at the resort was now a 5-night stay

Monetary Results:Bill saved $40 on the airfare by booking it himselfBill spent an additional $300 on:• The two nights near the airport• The rental car• Replacing clothes and other personal items that never made it to his destination

Net Result:

• Bill's vacation was $260 more than it would have been if he had just booked the package that our agent hadcoordinated.

As professional agents we know what it takes to coordinate a great vacation that is the best value for you. We liveby the motto "you get what you pay for" so, do you want to spend a little more for a great trip or waste a couplethousand on the cheapest option?
