Dear God, my chi ldren are being raised in a culture where truth and morals are relat ive. I pray that my ch i l d ren wou ld know the t ru th about You, and would fol low you wholehearted ly . May they know and love the Bible.

If it is Your wil l that they marry, I pray they would choose a person of Christ ian faith and that the strength of their marriage would come from a mutual commitment to God. If it ’s Your wil l that they’d have a rel igious vocation, I pray they would say yes, offering You their very best. Either way, I pray they would seek out what Your plan is for their l ives, and that You’d equip them to fu l f i l l the ir unique cal l ing.

Dear God, I pray that any suffer ing in the l ives of my chi ldren would be used to produce holy character. In my role as a mother, I desire to protect. Help me not to get in the way of Your work in my chi ldren’s l ives.

Dear God, I pray that my chi ldren would be people of integri ty (being the same person when no one is looking). Keep them from the faulty bel ief that you can be one person onl ine and another in real i ty. Keep t h em f r om an obse s s i o n w i t h image. May they f ind their ident i ty in You.

Dear God, as my chi ldren prepare for another school year, I pray that t h e y w o u l d h a v e s t r e n g t h o f character so they can stand f irm aga ins t peer pressure and the devi l ’s schemes.

Dear God, I pray that my chi ldren would have hearts of compassion. May they desire to serve and meet the needs of the suffer ing and marginal ized. May they be focused o n o t h e r s a nd f r e e f r om t h e mental i ty that “ i t ’s al l about me.”

Dear God, grant my chi ldren the wisdom to recognize Your truth a n d S a t a n ’ s s u b t l e l i e s . I spec i f i ca l l y p ray aga i ns t t he fol lowing l ies: “What I do on the i n t e r n e t i s my bus i n e s s . ” “ I t ’ s harmless and doesn’t hurt anyone,” “Beaut i fu l gir ls are worth more,” “ I have to perform to be loved.”

Dear God, I pray that my chi ldren would be careful with their words - not gossiping, exaggerat ing, ly ing, or speaking unkindly. I pray that their words would be pleasing to You not just out in publ ic but also in the way they speak to their fami ly members.
