May 16, 2017 Dear Station Partner: The controversial Netflix series, 13 Reasons Why, has drawn the serious attention of parents and teachers. Through social media, everyone is weighing in. It’s about suicide, and a young girl’s reasons why she ended her life. Teen depression, bullying and suicide are common issues for teens today, and parents are desperately looking for answers. A great public outcry has begun against “the way it is.” And there is hope. Moms and dads need to know there is something they can do. Depression doesn’t have to be the norm, and teen-parenting expert Mark Gregston is here to help. He’s worked with at-risk teens for more than 30 years, and he offers parents effective tools for helping their kids live purposeful, even joyful lives. The best way to know how to help teens is to hear from the ones who have been there, and that’s exactly what Mark does on Parenting Today’s Teens. That’s why this ministry is deeply committed to featuring teens on the weekly program. Mark gives teens a voice and a platform to share what’s really going on in their world–giving parents greater insight into the daily pressures and challenges their kids face. When their teens at home are silent, parents can listen to Parenting Today’s Teens and hear another teen verbalize what’s really going on—and what they wish they’d done differently and what they wish their parents had done differently. There’s hope in hearing from those who are on the other side of what their own kids are facing. We have received several requests from a number of stations to have an on-air dialogue addressing bullying and suicide. Equip your listeners by inviting Mark Gregston to share on your station talk shows and interview segments. He will bring hope, equipping parents in your listening area to face these urgent teen issues. Call our Media Services Team at (818) 865-0180 or email [email protected] to set up a time to talk. Your partnership with this ministry provides invaluable wisdom and practical advice to families who need to hear from Mark and the students at Heartlight. We appreciate you and all you do! Sincerely, Your Media Services Team

A great public outcry has begun against “the way it is.”

And there is hope.

Mark

gives teens a voice and a platform to share what’s really going on in their world–giving parents greater insight into the daily pressures and challenges their kids face.

When their teens at home are silent, parents can listen to Parenting Today’s Teens and hear another teen verbalize what’s really going on—and what they wish they’d done differently and what they wish their parents had done differently. There’s hope in hearing from those who are on the other side of what their own kids are facing.

We have received several requests from a number of stations to have an on-air dialogue

addressing bullying and suicide. Equip your listeners by inviting Mark Gregston to share on your station talk shows and

interview segments. He will bring hope, equipping parents in your listening area to face these urgent teen issues.

Call our Media Services Team at (818) 865-0180 or email [email protected] to set up a

time to talk.

Your partnership with this ministry provides invaluable wisdom and practical advice to families who need to hear from Mark and the students at Heartlight. We appreciate you and all you do!

Sincerely,

Your Media Services Team
