»bins, 64, of Mainville, Ohio, and formerly of Mt. Vernon, diedThureday, Jung, 7, 1984 at the Elkhart General Hos-pital in Elkhart, Indiana af-ter an illness.

She was bom in Rock-castle Co. on April 9, 1920, the daughter of Sam-McFer-ron and the late Flonnie Stevens McFerron and was a member of the Riverside Missionary Baptist Church in Cozadale, Ohio.

Besides her father, she is survived by four sons, Prestle McFerron of Main-ville, Ohio, Chester Robbins of Brodhead, Gerald Rob-bins of Vienna, West'Virgin-ia and Jimmy Robbins of Climax; two • daughters, Mrs. Irene Frazier and Mrs. Linda Luttrell', both of Elk-

Funeral services werp held Sunday, June 10 at the West Brodhead Church of God with Rev. Ronald Mounts and Rev. Stephen Hobbs officiating. Burial was in the Ottawa Ceme-tery.

Arrangements were by the Dowell and Martin Fun-eral Home.

Banks, 89, of Jonesboro, Tennessee, and formerly of Mt. Vemon, died Friday, June 8, 1984 at the Johnson^ City Hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee.

She was bom May 19, 1895 in Mt. Vemon, the daughter of the late William n" Lina Bloomer Cummins

Survivors are one son, Grant Banks, Jr . of Spin-dale, N.C.; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Farmer of Jones-borg,-. Tenn., Mrs. Jean Browning of Bristol, Tenh. and Mrs. Irene Lewis of Daisy, Tennessee; 13 grand-children; 18 great grandchil-dren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband. Gene-ral Grant Banks and two

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, June 10 at the Dowell and Martin Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Harvey Pensol. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were -deacons-of-the-First Baptist Church of Mt. Vemon.

Eula Bales Mrs. Eula Clark Bales,

age 69, of Erlanger, and for-merly of Mt. Vemon, died Friday, June 8, 1984 at her home in Erlanger.

She was bom in Rock-, castle County on July 14,

1914, the daughter of the late Charles and Julia Mae Townsend Coffey and was a member of the Hummel Grove Baptist Church.

Three pieces of machin-ery have also been bumed in the past two weeks, ac-cording to police, who said that .the total loss on the machinery could go as high as $170,000.00.

The most recent incident , happened Sunday night near Crooked Creek.

When Kenny Caudill of London returned to work Monday morning, he found that his 1982 Komatsu dozer had been bumed and com-pletely destroyed. Police said that Caudill was strip-ping coal and that he had some other machinery on the site which was not harmed.

Last week, a 1982 450 Case dozer and a 1982 Case Loader, belonging to Em-mitt Foster, were also bumed in the Pine Hill sec-tion of the county where he was clearing land.

Besides her brother, she is survived by one son, Don-ald Rice of Livingston; one sister, Mrs. Lela Vjflll House of London; 4 grandchildren; 3 . great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Rice.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, June 11 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carl Moore and Bro. Zade Mc-Clure officiating. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery.
