QPRC ART TRAIL A SUCCESS QPRC ART TRAIL A SUCCESS

TTHE 11th QPRC Art Trail was a huge success as far as the QAS was concerned with good numbers of visitors to the Gallery. The two day event attracted people from the region and many locals who had never visited the Gallery before and were impressed. Many QAS committee and members volun-teered to welcome the 115 visitors to the gallery, including Mita Mita and Siva NathanSiva Nathan. The Gallery’s new Book Stall proved popular and more stocks had to replenish the shelves. New members were signed up on the spot after hearing about the QAS list of activities. Georgina Perri Georgina Perri (Cultural Development Officer Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council) was delighted with the response to the QPRC 11th Art Trail from the venues and the visitors.

MMEMBER Leigh Murray Leigh Murray returned from Kenya after a 10 day stay, working and making success-ful sales of African wildlife work. Leigh com-mented on the great experience being surounded by the peace and quiet, and of watching the con-tinual procession of animals past the tent and the main lodge. It provided much inspiration for Leigh’s beautiful work.
