24 7:00 pm Christmas Eve Mass January 1 9:00 am New Year’s Day Mass

PRAY: Jesus, help us prepare our hearts for your

coming at Christmas by caring for people in our

family, school, neighborhood, and for others in

need throughout the world. Amen.

REFLECT: What is one way that your family can

reach out to someone in need before Christmas?

ACT: This week, proclaim the Good News by pre-

paring a meal or care package for someone who

doesn’t have what they need to make it through

each day.

Back to Church: Christmas is coming and it is coming up FAST!! It is the perfect time to in-vite family, friends, and acquaintances to come to church with you!

You Too Must Be Patient: Patience is one of those things many of us struggle with. We want things to go according to our plan and our schedule. Any change brings anxiety and fear. Through daily prayer we better align ourselves with God’s will and His plan, which is far better than anything we can come up with on our own.

Grateful & Generous: “Rejoice always. Pray

without ceasing. In all circumstances give

thanks.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) A grateful

and generous heart is the result of …

1. Prayer: Spending our time listening to God

and asking God how He is calling us to use

our gifts.

2. Participation: Sharing our time by becom-

ing active in our parish ministries or other

charitable works.

3. Generosity: Offering our financial support of

the mission and ministries of our parish.

Signup for Christmas Mass: In the back of church you will see signup sheets to help with the various ministries for our three Christmas Masses.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree Did You Know? One reason we put up ever-green trees at Christmas time is because they are signs and reminders to us of God’s never ending love. The lights on our trees both wel-come and reflect the One who comes as the Light of the World. An angel on top of our Christmas tree remind us of the angle who an-nounced the good news of Christ’s birth to the shepherds. A star reminds us of the guiding light of the star of Bethlehem who guided the Magi to the newborn king.

Make a Year-End Gift to Our Parish

2020: This is not your eyesight, it is the new cal-endar year. Pick up your Catholic calendars in the back of church.

Christmas Book Program: Once again we will be giving out a book to all those who attend our Christmas Masses. This year’s book is Matthew Kelly’s latest book entitled, “Rediscover the Saints”. If you can help pass these books out before and after Mass please let Fr. Tony know. Thank you!

How Is Your Advent Going? It is not too late to have a great Advent. On this third Sunday re-solve to keep the Advent season, the next ten day holy. 1. Best Advent Ever: Signup and view Matthew

Kelly’s daily video series. 2. Read the Little Blue Book daily devotional. 3. Stop and Pray ten minutes a day in the class-

room of silence.

The Nineteen (19) Days of Christmas The Christmas Season: For the Church the Christmas Season does not begin until the eve of December 24 and this year will extend for 19 days until January 12, the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord. Two ways to extend the spirit of Christmas is by reflecting on the real meaning of Christmas by: 1. Reading the daily Mass readings. 2. Reading the Little Blue Book daily devo-

tional. 3. Stop and Pray ten minutes a day in the

classroom of silence.
