The Sunday School children are already collecting change in there Barn Banks. This is a great way to give a gift to help

others. A lot of these animals will help those who lost a lot in this year’s hurricane season. This is the perfect Hand Up project. The ELCA not only gives the animals but educates them in sustainable farming. So they can use the products from the animals to sell, trade or barter to provide ongoing income.

Welcome to Redeemer Lutheran!

We are a diverse community of people always learning what it means to live a life of discipleship. We are

Lutheran (ELCA); we are Republican, Democrat, and Independent; we live across the street, around the corner, in the Hartford area, and in the nearby countryside. We work in schools, factories, offices, fields, and hospitals. We are laborers, students, retired, and unemployed. We range in age from the newly born to seniors. We come

from backgrounds of Catholic and Protestant while some are discovering church for the first time. We come

together with our joys and sorrows, our faith, and our doubts. When we worship together, sing together, study

the Bible together, fellowship together – we love and support one another to become one body of Christ.

No matter who you are, no matter where you are on life’s journey…

You are Welcome Here!

Redeemer Backpacks for The Boys & Girls Club

This project is sponsored by the Redeemer Women’s Ministry Team. Our goal is to provide food (breakfast, lunch, and a snack) to kids in need. Pick a tag off the Giving Tree and please bring your donations and place in the baskets by the Giving Tree. Monetary donations will also be accepted. We will also be asking for volunteers to help fill the backpacks each week. Watch for more information on that. If you have any questions, please call the office. (262-673-2550)

Seeds of Ministry

I would bet that we all played Hide and Seek when we were young. When John the Baptist shouts, "Prepare

the way of the Lord!" it is as though God has just called, "Ready or not, here I come!" And we remember:

this is the God who always finds us.

Time and Talent Forms

Did you get one? Did you read through it? Did you pray about the talents God has given you and how you can put them to work in ministry through Redeemer? Did you fill it out? Did you return it? If your answer to all these questions is YES, thank you. If your answer is not yet, please follow through. We are looking for a T&T form from each active, confirmed Redeemer member.

Hartford Christmas Committee

Christmas Project

Look for the Community “Giving Tree”

in the Narthex. Pick a tag to help a needy family at Christmas.

Each tag has up to 3 gift/clothing items requested by the recipient. Any person taking a tag can buy 1, 2 or all 3 gifts listed. It is entirely up to you. (Do not deviate from the items that the recipient has requested).

Gift tags are labels that MUST be removed and placed on the purchased gifts. To ensure the items get to the individual they were purchased for, the label MUST be on EACH package. All gifts MUST be UNWRAPPED AND NEW. Please no food or candles.

All gifts MUST be brought in by Monday, December 11th so that we can deliver them all to the Hartford Town Hall no later than Friday,

December 15th by 4:00 p.m.

Carols and Coloring THIS AFTERNOON

3:00 - 6:00 p.m. Join us for a relaxing coloring event that

will deepen your understanding and appreciation of the Advent season

ALL ages and ALL people are welcome!

The Gift of Giving

We ask you again this year to please consider making a donation to the

Hartford Food Pantry instead of purchasing a poinsettia in honor or memory of

loved ones. A listing of those making donations will be in the Christmas bulletins as were the

poinsettias in the past. Look for the form in your bulletin, fill one out, attach your check and drop it

off at the office or place it in the offering plate.

All forms must be in to the office on or before Thursday, December 14th. Thank you!

Enchantment

in the Park

(Drive through light display)

Regner Park, West bend Thursday, December 21st

Enchantment in the Park is an interactive holiday light

display held at West Bend’s Regner Park.

The show is comprised of nearly 1 million lights,

staffed by more than 1,500 volunteers and considered to

be one of the biggest light shows in Wisconsin.

Donations are not required but appreciated.

Either non-perishable food items for the local food

pantries or a $10.00 donation per vehicle is suggested.

We will meet at church at 6:00 p.m. and carpool.

Please look for the sign-up sheet in the coffee bar area

and sign-up so we know how many will participate.

29th ANNUAL CHRISTMAS COOKIE FAIR

We served over 100 customers. Thank you to everyone who helped make this another successful Cookie Fair: Stollen bakers, Christmas Cookie Bakers, Candy Makers, Cheeseball Makers, Set-up People, Decorators, Youth Workers, Workers on Friday and Saturday and Sign Makers. We cannot do this without the help of many, many people. Once again, we had many compliments on the quality and variety of cookies and candy. Even though there were several other cookie walks this year, we were told that Redeemer’s is still the best. Proceeds from the sale along with some late sales totaled $4, 249.50. Some expenses still need to be deducted from this total. We will have a wrap-up meeting in early January. Watch for a date on this. Some decisions need to made for next year. A percentage of the proceeds will be shared with Rides & Reigns which increases the quality of life for people of special needs through the use of horses. And, the Boys & Girl’s Club of Hartford which enables all young people to realize their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
