Reconciliation, Adoration & Church
Dear friends in the Lord, As we continue to journey through Advent and as we come to the end of our calendar year, it is a great season to give thanks to God for all He has done for us this past year and throughout our lives even in light of how crazy this year has been. We want to thank you for being faithful to
St. Teresa’s and for continuing to support the mission. There have been a number of people who have asked about ways to make a Year-End Gift. As you know the end of the year provides a great opportunity for income tax deductions, but most importantly, in a spirit of stewardship, it is an excellent way to thank God for the blessings He has given us. Since people have been asking about ways to do this, I want to offer some suggestions on how to help St. Teresa’s for years to come.
Make a gift towards our endowment for scholarships for VU Students
Make a gift towards campus ministry
Make a gift towards youth ministry
Make a gift to support the work of our FOCUS Missionaries
Make a gift to help with capital improvements around St. Teresa’s
IRA Distributions and Stocks can be gifted I hope these suggestions help as you discern Year-End Gifts. Since all your donations are tax deductible, please note that gifts must be received by the end of the day December 31. If you would like your Contribution Statement for the year, please contact Chris Blane in the office, or place a self-addressed stamped envelope in the collection basket and we will send it out to you. I want to thank you for your abundant generosity as you help to support our mission. Because of your help, we are able to offer a life-changing encounter with Christ for all those who walk through our doors. Yours in the Lord, Fr. Chris

Stewardship
Stewardship Report
Tithing As individuals we are called to be good and generous stewards with God’s manifold gifts. Tithing is the means whereby we have the opportunity to give thanks to God; with that in mind, the community of St. Teresa of Avila tithes weekly. This week we will tithe to Fr. Tomy Augustine’s Higher Education: Research and Publication Center at Salesian College located in West Bengal, India. Their mission is to provide Christian literature in the local Nepali language. With our help they plan to establish their Research and Publication Center at Salesian College.
Thank You for Your Generosity & for Supporting Our Mission

Campus Ministry during the month of November got off to a great start following the close of October with the Halloween Social, then gradually slowed due to changing conditions regarding the pandemic. The opening event, “Catholic Food for Thought,” took place on a Friday evening and included Gelsosomo’s pizza and a talk by Eli on Apologetics (defending the Catholic Faith) with a focus on appealing to the heart of those listening. Moving on to the next week, the university decided to slow things down and moved to a virtual platform with one week before finals. At St. Teresa’s, students were still able to attend Mass and dinner on Sundays and INSPIRE for adoration and Reconciliation. Prayer opportunities in the sanctuary before and during finals also surfaced, including an opportunity to study during finals in the Presence of our Lord Jesus through the intercession of St. Thomas Aquinas in his prayer “Before Study.” Students have gone home for a two-month break, coming back for the start of classes next year on January 25. 2021. As Campus Ministry now moves to a virtual platform in order to continue outreach to VU students, we ask that please keep us all in your prayers and that all may have a deeper encounter with the coming of our Lord this Advent season. Let us desire nothing if not our Lord Jesus in the words of Thomas Aquinas: “Nothing if not You, Lord, nothing if not You.” In Christ, Eli
Christmas Flower Offering To help defray the cost of our Christmas flowers, we are inviting anyone who is interested, to adopt a poinsettia in memory of a loved one. They will be remembered at our Christmas Day Mass. The cost is $25. All flower donations must be received by the office no later then December 16, 2020. Thank you for your generosity.
