Being able to put a face to a name always helps. With Warren Close coming along at a real pace now, things are changing for WAHS too. Traditionally WAHS was a provider of affordable housing as well as the landlord for those at Warren Close. With our partnership with Housing Solutions we are no longer a landlord, as they have taken over this role. So what will we be doing? Well we’re not 100% sure yet, but one thing is definite and that is we will continue to work to provide more affordable homes for people in the Wokingham district. Through this current project we have made many new connections and learnt a lot about what we do, and how else we could achieve our aims. In January we will be starting to seriously look at the options available to us and how we can further benefit the people of Wokingham. So once the flats are occupied at Warren Close we can say ‘job done’ and move onto other exciting projects. WAHS has been a well kept secret for too long, so we will be working at raising our profile in the Wokingham area and actively seeking out new partners that we can work with. I have wandered around the site today and taken a few updated photographs so you can see how the development is coming along. I will be trying to get some more internal pictures before too long, I know many of you are itching to see what your new homes will look like. This picture shows the porch roof timbers in place.

The next picture shows one of the porches all tiled too.

The views from the some of the first floor flats will be straight across the fields, a really lovely aspect!

This picture is looking in through the wire fencing at the back of the development.
