The word ‘contents’ is written at the top, this makes it recognisable that this is the contents page. However this is not essential because a magazine should be recognisable from the masthead which placed underneath where it says contents. The front cover is what people see, therefore the job of the front cover is to draw people in, whereas the job of the contents page is to give detail of what articles will be inside.

The colour scheme of the contents are black, white, red and grey, these colours emphasise sophistication. The use of these colours will make the magazine look more stylish.

The main image of the contents page seems to be taken in order to fit around the text. The woman looks very sexy and has a good figure. The clothing she is wearing shows a lot of flesh which will also attract the male gaze and inspiring female viewers would like their figure to be like hers. I think she has been made to look glamorous because women who are reading this magazine will like to be like her and will want to read about her.

The layout is in a lot if detail, thus it is essential that the pages listed are appealing and popular with the target audience. This will encourage people to but the magazine if the text is inspiring because the target audience would want to read what is on the contents page so then they can go through the magazine and read the full article of what was mentioned on the contents page.
