Use metaphors and similes from graphic organizer to create your definition poem.
Define or describe your topic by beginning each line with the topic and then the word “is.” For ex.: Sad is…., Hungry is…., Crazy is….
Stage of Writing: DraftingTake ideas from graphic organizer
and put into sentencesSkip lines to leave room for
revisions later. Place an X on every other line.
Clearly label “draft” at the top of your paper
