Hey, welcome back!

Let me first congratulate you for following through on your commitment to break the mental bonds of limiting beliefs and take your life to the next level.

If for some reason you didn't get to read the introduction, you can read it HERE...

(It is very important that you read this FIRST.)

Like I said in the previous post, I'm going to take you through a 14-step process to changing any belief you wish to get rid of. I'm going to give you some theory behind each example, as well as specific, practical examples.

Once you see how it's done, you'll be able to do it all on your own.

Ready to get started?

The specific belief I want to challenge today is a belief that's very common

today - "You can't make money in today's economy."

If that's a belief you're holding, you can start writing a goodbye card for it because it's not going to stay in your mind for too long ;-)

Step #1: Positive Intention

If you've read part one of this series, you know how big of a role your unconscious mind plays.

Actually, all your behavior is unconscious, and all unconscious has a positive intention - people do negative stuff for good reasons.

Even if you're sabotaging your success, your intention is still positive.

So, what could be the positive intention of believing that you can't make money in this economy?

That's right - to protect yourself from pain, to protect yourself from failure, to protect yourself from being disappointed again.

But ask yourself this: "Couldn't you protect yourself more if you had the money you deserve? Couldn't you protect yourself more if you could finally show to yourself and everybody around you what you're truly capable of?"

Step #2: Redefining

Redefining simply means, are there any characteristics of that belief that could be redefined to mean something else?

So, in our example we could say: "You can make money in every economy because money always comes from people and people have problems.

Page 3: Delete Your Limiting Beliefs – 14 Steps To FREEDOM – Part II

So if I can find out what problems people have and how to solve those problems, I can always make money!

The question is: 'Do I have the SKILLS to do it yet?' So why not just go and do what I can do right now, knowing that I'll be able to make more money as I develop my SKILLS?"

Step #3: Consequences

What are the consequences of continuing that belief? Both negative, and positive. There are 2 things that drive you - pain and pleasure. Let's use both, shall we?

Negative consequences of keeping that belief: If you don't believe you can make a lot of money today... YOU WON'T! You'll keep living at the income level you've been conditioned by society to live.

Positive consequences of changing that belief: If you believe that you can make a lot of money today, you'll start working, you'll get over the hardships, you'll come up with new ideas, you'll keep getting better and better - you'll become unstoppable.

And once you make the money, you'll be able to do anything you want to do - travel, have fun, grow as a person even more, spend more time with your family - live your dreams.

Step #4: Chunking Down

There are 2 ways of chunking - up and down. We'll talk about chunking down in a moment.

Let's take a pen, for example. You can look at that pen and ask "What's this an

Page 4: Delete Your Limiting Beliefs – 14 Steps To FREEDOM – Part II

example of?" - Something that writes. What's writing an example of? - A form of communication.

That's chunking up - pen =>writing => communication. Going more and more into abstract concepts.

But you can also say, "There's ink in the pen." And then there are different types of ink. That's chunking down - going more into specifics.

So in our case, you could say "What specific work have I done that hasn't made me what money in this economy?"

Clue: none :-)

Or you could ask "What specific work have I done that has made me money in this economy?" - And your mind will always point something out.

Step #5: Chunking Up

You can say: "What's more important is not if I've been able to make money in this economy, but learning the SKILLS required to make tons of money in ANY economy!"

Step #6: Metaphor

What this strategy is about is telling a story that specifically relates to your situation.

For example, let's try this one:

"Have you ever seen a butterfly break out of a cocoon? That thing is struggling, making weird noises like it's screaming, it's desperately trying to get out of the

Page 5: Delete Your Limiting Beliefs – 14 Steps To FREEDOM – Part II

cocoon and it's all going so slow.

And you look at that thing and you want to help it, you want to make it easier on the butterfly and just break it out - just the same way you'd like the economy to be easier on you so you don't have to struggle so hard.

But if you break it out of the cocoon, the butterfly will never fly in its entire life because it is the act of going through that struggle, breaking out of that cocoon on its own, that gives the butterfly the strength to fly later on.

So the real question is, are you ready to start flying? Because tomorrow, you might finally reach the strength to break out of your cocoon?"

Step #7: Frame Size

Take a look at the picture below... and look only at the red circle.

You see one fish, right?

Page 6: Delete Your Limiting Beliefs – 14 Steps To FREEDOM – Part II

Now look at the green circle, what do you see? - A whole bunch of fish, right?

Now take a look at the whole picture... Now there's a big fish chasing all the other fish, right?

Every time you looked at the picture you saw something different because you looked at a different frame of it.

In the same way you could expand a frame around a belief and in this new frame, the belief will mean something different.

You can do it by asking "What's this an example of?"

"And when you look at the bigger picture, it turns out that the wealthiest people in the history of the world, got rich during a depression because to them a depression meant an opportunity."

So, those are the 7 out of 14 steps to changing limiting beliefs.
