hour per week. This can be to offer practical support such as collecting a prescription, assisting with shopping, helping someone to maintain or start a hobby or simply popping in for a chat and a coffee.

Hello Hood fans! Three games to report this month, all at home, but unfortunately only one win for Robin Hood Athletic: Not much in this one, but Hood squandered chances and Wetherby took one of theirs. It was amazing the game was even on, after the field was covered in 3 inches of snow, the day before. Fantastic achievement by the ground volunteers! The Wetherby side looked sharper to the ball due to Hood's lack of match fitness but there wasn't much in the game and it was goalless at half time. Second half Hood came out the better side and should have put

the game to bed, but failed to score and with 15 minutes left Wetherby took the lead. Hood dominated looking for the equaliser, but Wetherby held firm to take the points. Hood welcomed the reigning County Challenge Cup holders and run away league leaders Field AFC to a beautiful still day at the Coach Ground. Hood started confidently and on the front foot. The football was good and they looked tactically sound. It was no surprise when Graham Marchant opened the scoring. This woke Field up and they came into the game and equalised after half an hour. Perhaps Hood could have tracked better, but they PHOTO: The Field goalkeeper saves Kris Robertshaw's flick. didn't flap and a few minutes later when a superb delivery from James Finlayson was headed in by Marchant, Hood were back in front.. 2-1 at half time and good value for it. Second half and Field started better but Hood stood strong - keeper Lee Wood was exceptional and then as Hood got into the game, a corner and Marchant headed home unmarked for his third. 3-1 Hood and this opened the game up. Field, forced to throw men forward, left spaces and it was end to end. Hood were excellent all round. Right at the end, a Jordan Stafford cross was turned in again by guess who; Marchant for

his fourth. 4-1 it finished. Fantastic, lads!. The scoreline against Horbury Town was in no way a fair reflection of the game as Hood had periods of decent possession and very good chances, but credit to Horbury, they were very good and even applauded off by an appreciative Hood crowd. The first half was a superb advert for this league by both teams. Hood should have gone ahead but hit the woodwork and a superb

save from the Horbury keeper then kept it 0-0. Horbury were quick on the break and cut through Hood to open the scoring. Hood soon replied with a superb team goal finished by Marchant 1-1, nothing in it but then from a corner Hood's keeper and defender had a mix up and they went in at half time 2-1 down. Horbury took advantage of a few missed chances and again broke at pace to make it 3-1. Hood were forced to push men forward to get back in the game and it became more and more stretched. Horbury again broke with pace to score another similar goal..4-1. Hood got a goal back from Jonny Downey's header but the last five minutes saw Horbury cut through Hood again with quick pace on the break, 6-2 it finished. A terrible result but not a terrible performance by any means. Up the Hood!
