I Step 1: Load Guard and Practice Fitting,

Practice positioningthe tray. Whilelooking in a mirror,place the loadedfitting tray in yourmouth and centerthe alignment tab in

the middle of your two front teeth. Your teeth shouldbe aligned in the center of the moldable material.

Step 2: Heating your Guard

Choose A Heating Method:

Method 1 ( Microwave Guard In Water)

Fill a microwave safe bowl with1 cup (8 oz) of cool water. Placethe loaded fitting tray facedown in the water and heat onhigh for 2 minutes (For lowwattage microwaves heat for 2minutes, 20 seconds).

Remove the bowl of waterfrom the microwave. Bowlmay be hot. Use cautionwhen removing.

Method 2 ( HeatWater Separately)

Usinga microwave or stove, bringa bowl or pot of water to a rollingboil. (Bubbles should rise up fromthe bottom of the pot and burstopen at the surface).Watershould be at least 1.5 inches deep.Microwave timeswill varyanywhere from 3 to 8 minutes.

Remove the boiling waterfrom heat source and let itrest for 10 seconds. Usecaution when removingfrom heat.

Place the tray with theguard face down in the hotwater for 45 seconds.

Step 3: Custom Fit Your Guard

Remove tray with a fork,using the openings in thetray handle. Quickly rinseunder cool tap water (nomore than a few seconds).

Immediately place the fittingtray in your mouth. Do not bitedown yet. While looking inyour mirror, position thealignment tab in the center andslightly back from front teeth.Center your teeth front to backwhile aligning front teeth inmoldable material. Be sure toleave some material in front ofyour front teeth. The sides ofthe tray should be positionedbelow your back molars.

Firmly bite down, coveringyour front teeth with themoldable material of thedental guard. Relaxyour biteand wait 2 minutes while thematerial hardens.

Gently remove the dentalguard and fitting tray fromyour mouth and rinseunder cool water for atleast 20 seconds.

Remove the dental guardfrom the fitting tray. Start bygently pulling the ends fromeach side of the fitting tray,then working around to thefront. It is normal for thedental guard to slightly stickin the fitting tray.~

If your dental guard does not fit correctly,repeat steps 2 and 3 to refit.

How Does It Fit?

Cleaning And CareAfter each use, brush your dental guard with toothpasteandlor mouthwash. Or, clean your guard weekly with adenture cleansing tablet. Allow tablet to complete fizzsoaking 10-15 minutes. Never rinse or soak in hot wateras it could alter the shape of your dental guard.
