UNIVERSITY-WIDE INTERCAMPUS FACULTY COUNCIL The Intercampus Faculty Council provides the President with representative views and opinions of the several campus faculties on such problems as the president wishes to bring before it and serves as a medium for communications between the president and the faculties. The Intercampus Faculty Council discusses issues of common concern to the University faculties and is available to perform those functions or duties which are deemed appropriate to an intercampus faculty body. The Committee on Effective Teaching and Faculty Awards is authorized and established by the Chancellor. It has responsibility for developing methods for the student evaluation of teaching, for assuring the integrity of the evaluations, for recommending methods for improving teaching and for nominating faculty members for special teaching awards established at Missouri S&T. The committee is expected to keep the faculty informed of its policies in consultation with the Faculty Senate. The committee's responsibilities include teaching in the formats of lecture, recitation and laboratory. evaluating various requests for space, and for recommending to the Chancellor all changes in assignments of classrooms, offices, laboratories and research facilities. This committee also shares responsibility for establishing campus rules and regulations regarding use of facilities in keeping with the Missouri S&T’s Collected Rules and Regulations (Section 110.010, Use of Facilities and Equipment) and with the University Center Committee. The committee is also charged with the responsibility of initiating studies designed to further improve the utilization of on-campus facilities. D.8.g. PROMOTION AND TENURE REVIEW COMMITTEE The campus review committee is established in accordance with the “Missouri S&T Promotion and Tenure Procedures.” The committee will consist of one faculty member from each academic department. Department representatives to the committee shall be elected by a vote of their department and serve for a two-year period. Membership of the campus review committee shall consist of full-time tenured full professors. Any administrator with promotion and tenure decision-making authority over faculty members including, but not limited to, department chairs, provosts (as well as vice provosts), and the chancellor, shall not serve on the campus review committee.

The Provost, or his/her designee, will convene the initial meeting of the campus committee to review the committee charge and conduct the election of the chairperson. The committee will establish procedures for reviewing recommendations brought to it by the Provost. The Provost will submit his/her recommendations, as well as those of the committee, to the Chancellor. The Chancellor will then forward his/her recommendations to the President for a final decision. The campus review committee is further organized into area subcommittees. The four area subcommittees include:
