The NT Story
Pilot beginnings:
• 2009 initial pilot at Shepherdson (65), Newcastle Waters (40)
• 2009 extended pilot in Alice Springs primary schools
• 2010-2011 2 year pilot across 40 NT schools with 2500 XO devices
(DET funds)
• 2012 2000 XO devices planned (ABA funds)

Program Aims
1. Enhance learning opportunities for rural and remote students with a 1:1 low cost robust device
2. Develop student engagement through creative, constructive and collaborative learning
3. Increase student attendance rates
4. Improve Literacy and Numeracy
5. Involve family in education
